But something like a Tornado F3 is hard pressed to do much vs F-4s, Mig-23s or F-5s that are common at and around its BR. That is why its maintained 12.0.
Its CM count is also massively artificially nerfed, which is part of the reason its been able to maintain the current BR imo. Yes, it is too low, but I blame compression more than just straight being the wrong BR.
F-4J, maybe, and that’s a big maybe.
F-4S hell no for 12.0, that would be 100% 12.3.
We don’t need to ultra compress 11.0-12.0 even more than it already is just because 12.0-13.0 is compressed.
I think the Spey phantoms should get aim-9L and get moved to 12.3 as they did have them fitted to defend the Falklands after we took out islands back. Keep the J(UK) at 12.0 but give it the extra sparrow rail
The extra engine power actually gives the british phantoms a fighting chance.
I’ve won dogfights with F18s, SU33s, F16s, and 1 time against an F15a.
When fighting against other phantoms or mig23s the winner comes down largely to player skill, not the airframe.
The problem is the british phantoms don’t fight other phantoms or mig23s.
With the FGR2 and FG1 basically identical, there is no reason to keep them so. FGR2 should get Skyflash STs and 9Ls but the FG1 should remain with its current FAA fit
i prefer the look of the FG1 from the landing gear but i agree that the FGR2 should be made to be much more different. at the moment they make each other obsolete.
Supertemp and 9L would make it an ok 12.3, still would be trashed by hornets no matter what though
phantoms are just powercrept out of the meta, this isnt a british only thing. however we do have the short end of the stick with our J(UK) being the worst J variant
