Give Leclerc tanks SHARD ammunition

Where’s the Abrams?

Off the list, it’s too easy to kill and played by idiots, but ky list is subjective, you don’t have to agree with it

I meant it in a sense that game decision doesnt have to exactly follow IRL logic, but yeah, I couldve gone for better analogy. I couldve also get proper sleep instead of another cup of coffee but here we are.

Nothing but regrets remain.

I would love to read more on that if you have materials on it, or maybe a link to the report.

maybe not with abrams, but i got surprised how often i run into this issue with french 7.7 autoloaders lol.

Supposedly they shortened gears in order to counteract the extra weight, but that comes from assorted videos so I have nothing concrete to back that up

Only reason I asked is because a lot of players in a certain discord claimed the Leclerc having DM53 as a proposition claimed it would still be a worse SEP tank essentially, although it is not looking at the playerbase performance of US mains when comparing it to the SEP tank.

Here. Gotta say love our internal documentation folders

In an isolated scenario, i’d take the Leclerc or Type 10 over abrams, due to better mobility autoloader and smaller profile, but the more competitive playerbase are free to disagree.

My issues with abrams are numerous, so I’ll never hold it in high opinion

Yeah it seems developers accept the claims but need more information, hope you guys find something more on it eventually.

Either way @DirectSupport shard should wait until its actualy finished and in service.
Giving top tier tech tree vehicles non service ammo, is just not a thing that is being done

I have no counter-arguments if someone believes ammo should not be added into the game unless it is finished and in-service.

Did this not occur for Ariete with DM53 in the past?

True, you are right with that one.
But to be fair, arietes truly are a lost cause.
I think many players still prefered using the old ammo.
A. Cause its historic
B. Cause it spalled better

Many werent haopy with the decision either

Hell strictly speaken i would be still right. Arietes are so bad they arent top tier with 12.3
The lattest br decompression made gajin acknowledge they are a lost cause

But i remember why i said

Leo 2a4m can gets KE-W it never used. 2 PL had DM43 as best it never used. Premium squadrons were more flexible for balancing

Leclercs have such great survivability plus you have a 5 second autoloader with good movement speed.

According to Abrams and Leopard 2 users, who have the largest player bases in the game, the Leclerc is currently overpowered due to its superior protection, mobiLity, and firepower. Therefore, it should not receive SHARD or DM53, and even if M829A3/A4 or DM73 rounds are introduced in the future, it should continue using OFL 120 F1.

Of course, the Challenger 2 and Ariete are similarly too powerful for them and should not receive any buffs either.

Considering the limited info we have a conservative approach would be to take Nexter’s claim, i quote :

“15% increase in perforation power compared to previous generations”

Assuming the previous generation refers to OFL-120-F1, that would give us a flat pen at 10m of 1.15*576 in game, or in other words 662mm, slightly above DM53, but not by much

Guys, stop arguing. France will not be getting a better shell or any buff. We France players must enjoy our abuse and just be better players, as always.

that’s why more news should come before year’s end

It blows my mind that people actually have issues killing things with anything that is equal or better than m900/3bm46 lol the japs literally slaying with m829 equivalent and their tank has 1hp

Leclercs are 2A6 equivalents.
