Currently the Leclercs line of tanks are using the equivalent of DM43 in the form of OFL 120 F1, while lacking in armor as well as penetration compared to its peers such as the Leopard for example.
The Leclerc tanks have been found to test-fire the SHARD ammunition and this should qualify for it to be added into the game.
um i recommend getting the french player base together and collectively agreeing to start just making the stats worse this might encourage them to give them a better round
Yes. The Leclerc’s overall performance as of right now is more on par with something like the Leopard 2A5, its current BR requires something that helps it.
Well I appreciate being corrected, ends up being skill issue on my part, but I don’t appreciate condescendence on your end or accusation of intentional lying, and there won’t be any use of furthering conversations with you if you continue with those.
It does when you open it for the very first time, but if you look back at February, close the tab, and then open a new tab to load Statshark again, it looks at the last month you looked at. You can give this a try. I was looking at the month of Feb for some aerial vehicles.
and each of the three main categories can be divided further.
Firepower for example - while penetration is one of the factors to consider, theres also ammo selection, reload time, ready rack size, quality of FCS (thermals, LRF, horizontal and vertical targeting speed) etc.
It goes much deeper than just higher pen = better tank.
@UNN_Daedalos btw i had time to finaly read trough your shard in service news article u shared with me
Only mention of in use for france is “The DGA (French Directorate General of Armaments) plans to award the contract in 2025 that will launch the state qualification process for the SHARD 120,”
It plans it, that was 17.06.2024, do you guys actualy have the follow up documentation that france started the state qualification and didnt decide otherwise?
Like italys order of the Leopard 2a8, those plans easily change in that time frame.
Until proven further, this article means nothing
For Ammunition gajin handles it quite standardly, while nato capability is a thing.
Gajin normaly (few exceptions) always goes with the actual in service ammunition over the possible rounds. Else every nato tank would just drive around with DM53 at this point in the game.
So until france actualy puts it into service, or you at least find documentation of it being in the state qualification process and not intended as an export round. It stays a no from me
fair enough for the plan part then, which might still always have changed since then again, we are at the end of 2025 but i was right in regard to it not actualy being in use then
