That argument also falls apart when looking at the 2a5nl which was included in the screenshot, but go off queen. In my opinion the Leclercs are perfectly fine the way they are right now.
A 0.2 difference in Kill to Spawn ratio is not telling of your point, sure more germans play it, but they also have managed to sustain a similar K/S and K/D to the ‘french super race’

Hell literaly 2a5NL that was used is in the french tree. Its just germany used cause the german ammunition is the best comparison.

I asked people I know that are hyper-focused on top tier tanks, and they agree with you that the Leclerc SXXI is Leo 2A6 equivalent and not 2A5. They contend that a DM53 equivalent shell brings improved firepower but still makes it 2A6 equivalent and still worse than the 2A7.
DM53 would make them pretty much better than 2A6 in every way that isn’t turret armor.
They simply don’t need better ammo in this point in time.
If shard is around the same as DM 53 in terms of performance i don’t really see they issue
Most things DM 53 can pen so can DM 43 realistically it would just give the Leclerc more post pen damage then anything else and not really an issue

I disagree, it would bring about improved firepower but changes literally nothing else, and currently the OFL 120 F1 is more than sufficient in dealing with most in game threats since the weak spots don’t change, you don’t change the shooting areas.
With that said, I do think the Leclerc SXXI is somewhere in between a 2A6 and a 2A7 even in its current state, giving it SHARD or DM53 or what not wouldn’t change that imo.
