Currently, the Chinese tree is missing something very important in its component, which are its fire bombs. Fire bombs allow for the playstyle of base bombing and striking of open top vehicles.
Here is a guide of them (available in English too).
Chinese bombs come in 4 generations. Type 1 and 2 are Soviet based bombs.
Type 1 (FAB M46)
Type 2 (FAB M54)
Type 3 and Type 4 (domestic designs)
The designation is based on kg-generation regardless of its filling content. 250-3 can be a fire bomb or a HE bomb.
From this article, we can conclude that the Chinese military had the 250-3, 500-3, 500-2, 1000-2 fire bomb in 2006 as well. Q-5, J-7, J-8 can carry 250-3, 500-3 (personally, I do not know if the J-7 plane can carry the old fashion Type 2 bombs, but they sure can carry Type 3 and 4, this is shown even in game)

The previous article from Globalmil also mentioned that the type 3 bombs can carry fire warheads.
In the early 1990s a new series of streamlined, low-drag general-purpose (LDGP) bombs was introduced, designed for external carriage by fighter-bomber aircraft rather than in internal bays. They come in three sizes: 250kg (250-3), 500kg (500-3), and 1,000kg (1000-3). They have Western-style stabilising fins at tail and a single nose fuse. Each size of the bomb could be fitted with different types of warheads (blast, incendiary, anti-armour, etc) for specific combat requirements. They can be equipped by every fighter aircraft in current service with the PLA.
