It went into the pile. From watching other people play it, it’s hilariously bad. Speculate as to why they would even attempt to put this pile of crap at 8.3, sure, but Gaijin did a very poor job of implementing it.
I get the impression it exists to be a cheaply made event vehicle.
They’re aware they can’t sell it, and that no one would play the tree version of it, so it’s only good as a month-long engagement bait tank. They’re running out of ideas for Event tanks, so they’re releasing built-to-fail projects at this point.
Oh, they denied the extremely thorough thermal resolution bug report. Brilliant.

I have to say without a doubt the worst part of the Scimi 2 is simply the damn fake FCS control of the main gun and turret, so tired of being tapped on the FCS and then “nah cant control the turret or shoot”. It truly is crippling.
I can survive with the annoying 50–52kmh speed cap, but that FCS is so crippling for me, so many times i get a love tap from a 50cal or something and just cant do anything and die.

its insane, because the Rarden was literally designed to be as simple as possible, and entirely mehcanical.
And the Scimitar’s have Manual Gun elevation and Turret traverse back ups.
They Can 100% use the gun and such with the FCS disabled.

What is really insane is that this exact issue was bug reported and fixed (I think) for the other scimitar and the fox.
So its not even a case of them not knowing. Its them C&P aspects over from an out-dated version of the first scimitar

id say awful unique is better than maybe viable slop
You also have the fact that the rarden was capable of being fire on the move capable with just a heavier barrel.
IN American Testing they had a heavier flutted barrel that made the guns behave as if they were stabilized at upwards of 30mph on the Sheridan.
It should be way more stable than it is in game.

Actually that’s probably why the mobility is so trash too. Original Scimitar on launch had this too.

for scimitar yes. fox never had the problem as it predates the FCS module as a mechanic.
