True. Also (correct me if I’m wrong, I’m too lazy to google it) but aren’t post revolution Iranian F-14s just upgaded F-14s supplied by the US? If that is correct it would still apply with the point of the military relations but the most underlying reason for it going to the US is because it is a famously American aircraft as you somewhat said
I dont think Iran ever used these missiles let alone integrating them on F-14A. It should be good enough as it is
Can we reach 1000 comments?
I agree it is good as is but honestly it would be somewhat cool to see ingame with the R-27Ts but historical and technical accuracy is more important imo than “It would be so awesome”
I don’t know if they would pair very well, (would prefer to see them both with their own tree if you ask me). But hey, would love to see both added at some point, and if this is the way to go then so be it.
I think a new record of the most players participating in the War Thunder event will be set
I guess you completely missed previous statements of Smin
I have no idea why you wrote this. I have no interest in any pointy gofasts or what tree they go into.
You have no interest in what tree it would go into, yet you would have loved if it went to ussr tree. OK lol
The parts are still fabricated as close to US specs as possible to fit the US-manufactured aircraft so it can remain air-worthy, so again while they are domestically produced they are done so to not-domestic specs to fit a not-domestic aircraft. If it was an aircraft 100% domestically produced - From blueprints and ground up - It would be an entirely different matter.
Shed some light on the issue then because last time I checked it was placed in the US TT because USSR simply didn’t need it.
Only because it would annoy ppl like you apparently since you can’t even tolerate the idea of it as a joke.
Polish MiG-29 couldnt use AIM-120 at any point in time. The whole integration project was abandoned at the very early stage. The closest to integrate were AIM-9X and JHMCS but that project also didnt go further than some very basic testbed.
So we went down from,
Missiles,
Politics,
needs,
Russia suffers.
and non stuck so anything else Russia main want to add ?
It’s really quite massive with some wonderful unique designs later on, with the Abrams from Wish (which is secretly a T-72) and the T-90M at home lmao, with even some great SPAA options! The only downside to an independent tech tree would be the air tree, which in a similar way to Israel, would be barren and lack unique additions (but there would be a few exceptions, similar to Israel and their modified aircraft, Iran has plenty of upgraded/modernized aircraft). The best solution in that regard would be subtree. Helis are a similar story I’ve heard, but I think there’s a thread on this called “Hypothetical Iranian Air TT”, I’ll paste the link in right here if I find it and edit it in.
Also apparently what we could expect in regards to helis: Hypothetical Iranian Air TT - #3 by NotKringe
Gaijin should start releasing combined-nations techtrees
Ok, so you do have an interest in which tree it goes to.
Variety is the spice of life
Nope.
