I could put mental illness but that break the rules a bit.
I’m sure it won’t be long before something like that happens, however I think it would be a bit weird to implement. Just the thought of Two flags next to each other combined for a single tech tree seems, wrong. Just doesn’t feel right from my perspective, but it may be the best way to implement it. (Either that or they screw it over and add it as combined sub tree like they did with Benelux)
That makes us all spicy, then
nation - middle east / warsaw pact / etc
should work imo
I agree with this. There are many nations that might not have the vehicles for a full tech tree without it being entirely copy/paste but grouping TTs in via Region or Military Relation is a great idea
Well its not like it does need it so
If the USSR doesn’t need a subtree, it certainly needs a little filler like any other nation (although I’d say the priority is much lower in most cases) in certain areas and in certain roles.
If having 14 T-80 variants is the reason why the USSR doesn’t get a subtree, then at least give the USSR interesting variants like T-80UM-1, BVM (obr. 2023), T-90S, T-90 (pre A, cast turret), or T-27B2.
This is one of the specific points I’ve been making. By the logic, it should be an IIAF F-14 with all US weaponry.
Agreed.
The student movements from '77-'79 were the biggest factor. The Ayatollah tapped into it. The US was not interested in any way what-so-ever in getting rid of its control on Iran.
Ground? Yes. Air? What game are you playing dude?
We won’t get a Pan-Arab/Middle Eastern tree, MENA is going to get carved up into separate sub-trees.
I mean we technically have the USSR, which is technically considered a combination of nations nowadays after the collapse, don’t see why not ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Sorry, but what part of the US TT needs ANOTHER F-14. USSR and China, for example, could use a 12.3/12.7 missile bus.
Tho USSR ingame is mainly just Russian vehicles with vehicles operated by other nations being primarily premiums
I agree that USSR/China needing a missile bus but honestly this isnt it. If this had gone to USSR or China it would be like putting a J-10 or MiG-29 in the US tree. The Tomcat is a plane developed by the US and most famously known for being an American aircraft just like the Su-27/MiG-29 when it comes to Russia. I feel like there is a decent missile bus aircraft for these countries that is domestic but I can’t really name any. I will agree that the US really doesn’t need another F-14 but I’m not really complaining too much about it cause Tomcats are easy to deal with (especially considering their usual play style) but AIM-54s are more annoying to dodge due to the multipath nerf
I know right? USA has been eating good in air battles since Gaijin rushed the F-14 out the door early to cash in on the Topgun movie. At the very worst they played second fiddle to Sweden for a few months.
Romania was not announced as an official subtree of Italy, as such it’s vehicles would go where they make the most sense, as @Smin1080p_WT has previously explained
I dont think they are really that bad enemies to each other, remember US has sent 150 billion to Iran to spread around middle east lately XD
Saying it’s because tensions between the two are bad now is not a valid argument. In the 1970s, they were better. For someone claiming people don’t want a history lesson, you seem to doing the same. Thankfully, it’s going to the US. You can always just not play the game anymore if it’s such an egregious decision. The CM did a fairly good job explaining why it’s going to the US.
Yet people are so resistant to the MiG-25 and Su-15 series of aircraft, the actual eastern missile busses… Curious… Maybe thats just another excuse you’re spouting…
Its not a russian plane?
Its not about if it needs. As I said before its literally just an event vehicle which are rarely about “need” or “dont need” regarding the nation. They are event vehicles afterall - just a cool unique jet, tank or ship with interesting history. Thats really all
I don’t see how that’s relevant. They had russians providing the missiles and helping with trying to fit the 27’s on the tomcat.
All it says is that the F-14A was sold to Iran prior to the Islamic Revolution when relations were good (which is a historical note and nothing else), it doesn’t say it was the sole reason it was added to the US because of that.
“The F-14 has no connection to Russia other than its R-27” - So the reason behind it was simply because it uses overwhelming more American tech than Russian tech? That’s kind of common sense 101 and what I’ve said countless of times.
