If you mean the multi vehicle marathons, we still have those around the holidays / new year period. For the rest of the year however, its singular vehicle events, which were the preferred choice by the community as a whole and why we switched to them.

Easy peasy rule to determine if a vehicle is good for events or not:
If the event vehicle is unique, it should not be competitive. If the event vehicle is competitive, it should not be unique.
For example, the Sturmtiger: since it’s unique it would be preferable if it wasn’t an event, but if it really must be an event, at least it’s a vehicle you mostly play for the memes, it’s not meta in any way.
The T-72B3 Arena is competitive while being similar to (and slightly worse than) its TT counterpart. Again, perfect event vehicle because while it’s competitive at least it’s not unique, so players who only have access to the regular TT are not missing out, while if you do get it, it pads your lineup etc.
Obj 292 should have been a TT vehicle too.
Can Argentina be considered as a Tech Tree for Germany? That way, Germany could receive the Argentine F‑16s that were recently delivered.

Alright, let’s see how many matches a “popular” wheeled vehicle with an autocannon gets. I bet it will have at least half as many battles as any other event MBT in the first month after release.

No it shouldn’t off.
It is a fairly unique vehicle with no TT equivalent. I will always maintain that premiums and events should be as close to copy paste as possible. Player parity is very important to me. People who start playing later than us, or who play on console and can’t even access the market, should not be at a disadvantage compared to players like you and me.

Except there are several upgunned NATO MBT prototypes that qualify for addition (like the Thumper). What, are they all gonna be event vehicles and screw newer players who don’t get to try an MBT with a big donkey APFSDS? Or, are you gonna put some of them in the TT, creating an imbalance where some nations have access to a TT upgunned MBT while others have theirs locked behind events?
I am aware. And there is an obvious commercial interest in doing things like this. Which is why I ground out the 292 at the time of the event. But understanding it does not mean we have to like it, since it’s pretty anti-consumer as a tactic.

A great addition, but do we really need vehicles like this?
They could have brought back an IS-7 with a different turret/mounting configuration, based on an earlier version of the vehicle before the final model. Or they could have introduced some kind of bunker buster, which could potentially be represented in-game as a tank destroyer, like the T-95 we have in the American tech tree.
If every event that comes along only offers unarmored wheeled vehicles at a BR where they’re practically unsustainable to play, then it becomes really difficult to support events that you would only complete to collect the vehicle in your account and nothing more…
That being said, the vehicle itself is interesting! But I feel there was a lack of willingness to choose better and more unique options to offer the community. And I’m sure there were some much more interesting options on the table, judging by what I’ve seen being shared on the community forums.
i feel like the Stridsfordon 9040 Skjutrigg would have been a better event vehicle :P

The fact is that MBTs are the most popular vehicle class in GRB (at top tier, naturally), and you should be giving them top priority when selecting event vehicles. Looking at your rewards, though, it feels like the only things left in the world are wheeled vehicles and autocannon light tanks.
Scimitar and EFV aren’t wheeled. And there’s a million autocannon vehicles lmao.
