Yep, that’s the hull with a Leopard 1A5 turret.
There were more prototypes made btw:

also people have said the dev server KF41 is better than the PUMA, yet it lacks armour, I know this is only a dev server issue but saying that a vehicle that is on the dev is better than the PUMA despite lacking armour is absurd
APS system
which is also not modeled ingame, at least on dev
Bulannikov said that the armor on the dev server is not configured, so… Considering Active Defense
yes but people here said that the KF41 in the state it is on the dev is better than the puma which is false
It’s currently lacking its entire side armour, but frontally it is better protected (most of the UFP can protect against the lower powered 40mm APFSDS fired by the CV9040, whereas Puma’s can suck it even though it should be able to protect against 57mm APFSDS even…).
It additionally will receive the StrikeShield APS in the near future which is a HardKill system, it will basically give it a 360 degree of protection against APFSDS, ATGMs and even top-attack weapons (yes it has charges facing upwards).
What did they say wrong? KF-41 is more technologically advanced than Puma, not to mention additional weapons
I’d like to know your feelings as to the 2S38.
Isn’t Top Tier armor wrong on purpose on some vehicles? Like I’m pretty sure most NATO vehicles have incorrect values regardless.
Some of them yes, some of them however are due to sheer incompetence of the people in charge of collecting information… if I tell you that back on the old forum we’ve (well, around 4 to 5 people) compiled and presented to Gaijin enough information to model a completely new Puma that would overpower the one they implemented straight away, would you be surprised?
Because that’s exactly what we did, we handfed Gaijin all the information they need to fix it (and btw, it was at a BR of 8.7 back then), they haven’t done jackshit despite moving it up to 10.0 - unless you count improving its capability of continuous fire increasing from ~40 shots to ~55 a “fix”, but that would be just one out of hundreds it needs.
There’s no consistency to whatever they’re doing, and if you don’t believe me, look no further than MiG-29A 9.12 and MiG-29A 9.13 being denied R-73 whereas MiG-29SMT 9.19 is getting them (and they’re at the same BR).
Yes, like the UK and US did with Israeli vehicles
Err… do you think people will avoid Italy because of the T-72 as well, since they can always play the Soviet one instead?
should not have been added
That’s internally consistent at least.
from what I recall the 2S38 didn’t even have an engine could be wrong it is 3AM and I have a headache
I think the “uniqueness” line of reasoning has been beaten to death already. There’s nothing unique about Hungary as of now (no, KF41 is not enough for that when around ~70% of the sub-tree are C&P vehicles from Germany and Russia), and they won’t be any more unique in the future either when the Leopard 2A7HU is added…
Personally, Gaijin did an oppsie and Spain would’ve been a much better sub-tree… but hey, gotta divide the community, am I rite?
I don’t mind Italy getting Hungary. I would do the whole trees from scratch anyway, so it’s not too important to me if they get this or that European minor to bolster their numbers.
I also don’t mind them getting the KF41 first because they need more content.
I do find some of the logic behind arguing for this to be a permanent split to be very bizarre.
We dont mind either, but the way the russian streamee worded it it says that germany will never get the KF41 under the basis that the german military doesnt use it. We just wanna make sure that germany could at least get it 2-3patches later. Besides that it would be bad for the future it could mean all rheinmetall export vehicles like the K51 panther wouldnt be added to germany either
Don’t mind it either, but really Spain would’ve been so much better in long-term for both air and ground.
Pizzaro & Leopard 2E (both excellent) could’ve been added straigt away, this would make an argument for a better Leoaprd 2 for Germany as well rather than a poor excuse of a sidegrade, it would also provide them with a better helicopter down the line and a more interesting air tree (F/A-18 & Spanish versions of t he Eurofighter).
