If u guys had to choose to play ground forces with light and medium vehicles (maybe heavies but not a fan), at the br mentioned above, what would it be between germany and ussr.

Personally, i would go with Germany until about 10.0 then I would switch to Russia past that.
Of course you seem to just go for one tech tree so that answer doesnt help much.
If you also want to use cas, Russia get pretty decent later on at 10.0 and gets pretty good past around 11.0. Germany doesnt really get much in terms of cas past 7.3.
Germany every day, it has the best all round light and medium tanks right through from 3.7-top teir, and at the higher ranks its MBT’s completely dominate. It is a bit weaker in the cas department, but you do still have options with generally limited numbers of effective weaponry, but that does usually come on a decent a2a platform so you can do the Cap role too. The soviet tree has plenty of good lights and mediums, but they are basically all inferior to the german counterparts at the BR’s, with especially the soviet MBT’s having consistently poor gun depression, gun traversing speeds and awful reverse. The cas is better, but if you are grinding a tank tree cas is supplimentary to your lineup, not the main part of it.

Best thing you can do is forget about top teir, and just get several different nations to rank 3, so you can grind events and do dailies and such, then just play what you find you enjoy.
