Germany 5.7 too strong after Tiger pack wins 66%?

So I’ve been playing Ground RB Japan at BR 5.7 the past couple of days and, as I’ve seen recently, Germany and the Tiger-spam is ridiculous. I’m not sure how reliable Thunderskill is anymore and I understand it’s limited to whoever signed up there, but I assume it’s for people who play the game a lot and care enough about stats to do it, but look at winrates for the 5.7 Tigers.
Tiger H1: 42.38%
Tiger Ost: 79.67%
Tiger West: 92.8%
Edit: OK, never mind Tigris, my mistake, but it still has a high winrate

Edit: I suspect the low winrate for the techtree tiger is because of stock grind and everyone playing it, while people who care and knows how to play it buy the pack and they play it well presumably.

I’ve played 35 battles and out of those, 23 (66%) were won by the team with Germany in it.
The non-German team consists of 3-7 nations, while the German team is 1-4 nations.
If you know how to play the Tiger it is obviously a very good vehicle.
Also the fact that you have 3 Tigers, plus backups, seems to break the entire balance. Heavy tanks are inherently tough, so having a few is fine, but when almost the entire team can spam out 6 of them it’s just stupid.

Can we see any actual winrates for Germany pre- and post this Tiger-pack? I have a strong feeling it got pushed way off balance. And anyone who says “git gud” or “learn how to shoot” I guess that applies to both teams and most people equally, so even for the Tiger players, if they’re equally “bad” as the non-German players, they still come out winning, and therein lies the problem.

Or was Germany always stupid strong at this BR? I don’t recall, but didn’t really track it since I got this feeling of Tigers streamrolling the map in 2 out of 3 games (yes, regardless if I’m on their team or not).

Tiger 1, Tiger East, or Tiger West…still blow up the same using my M51. Actually it’s been easier to shred them seeing as the new players assume that angling them will save them!

I don’t really care about individual “I kill them easily”. I’m talking about statistics. There’s always someone who says they’re better, etc… Just looking at winrates in general should give some clues, even if you’re an unstoppable Tiger killing god. Whereever you are not, they will still win 2/3 games.

Well normally you think players do extremely badly if they just buy premiums (M1128 and Click-Bait for example) but in these they seem to do well, rare exception lol

It has nothing to do with being better. There are just more players who suddenly have the ability to spawn 3x Tiger 1’s all at 5.7 in their lineup.

Makes it a lot tougher fight when you have to face the same type of heavy tank over and over again from just one player if they have the spawn points. Multiply it by a team and that probably explains the win rate.

Tigris is Hungarian. Japanese would be Tora.

Food for 17pdr APDS. Having more tigers at a noobs disposal has meant that how good the tank is has started to compensate for the awful players a lot more. Throw enough tanks at the enemy and they eventually lose, like how reddit users think the soviets won the war

Tigris is Hungarian not Japanese.

You just gave me the impression that “you kill them easily with your M-51” and that was some kind of cool comment. But yes, part of my initial post is about the amount of heavy tanks being available to spawn, as you see. So yes, in that regard I totally agree with you.

My mistake, removed it. Wrong BR anyway.

Every Tiger grind is easy stock to spaded. The PzGr. which I think it’s not accurate because no ammunition would be labeled only as “Tank projectile” (Panzergranate) nukes everything in one shot.

The fact that the Tiger ‘West’ and Tiger ‘Ost’ performs better is mostly because skilled players/players with enough knowledge to play it bought it first. It’s something very new I doubt new players would be looking for that.

And with those vehicle addition, Germany at 5.7 isn’t any better, because those vehicles people know exactly how to deal with. What I means is numbers ≠ efficiency, which by efficiency I mean over perform, it’s just more numerous and if people enjoy Tiger I, those are a nice deal to add to their lineup.

A good vehicle + getting 2 more of said good vehicle is a very strong lineup. They’re identical to the tech tree H1.

There’s nothing you can do about it. It’s called experienced players using the vehicles + other unique vehicles that draw experienced players in such as the VFW and Sturmtiger. It’s an enjoyable line-up and you’ll be seeing plenty of people grinding the event with it. It’s just a reminder of how much experience matters in this game.

Also: Part of that experience is knowing that support vehicles matter. Allied mains (especially USA) think they can just spawn plane after plane at these BR and that it will magically win the game for them (even though planes can’t cap points, but I digress). Not only do experienced players make use of SPAA, but this Tiger pack comes with SPAA, so it’s giving less experienced players no excuse not to bring SPAA.

3 Vehicles there I would not consider experienced.
I call them Pay to Win vehicles as they give you an advantage over the default Tiger 1H.

Talking about the players using them. I don’t care what you think is pay to win. Sounds like someone is salty they don’t have said vehicles. And none of the advantages are worth that much over the standard Tiger, either way. You’re just being outplayed by the German teams. Edit: god, Gaijin does something good by adding a cosmetic pack. People buy it because it looks good. And then people call it pay to win, ridiculous. If people want to ‘pay to win’ there are much better options to be buying.

Mate that’s not cosmetics. Cosmetics is something that doesn’t affect the game.

The wooden logs on one give you more millimeters of additional protection. Both premium Tiger H1s are pay-to-win by literal definition as they do indeed give you an advantage over standard Tiger H1 players who do not have access to any of that.

The Ostwind II(TT) doesn’t have the Osktekken or however, you spell it tracks. NOW is the advantage very major absolutely not. But it still falls under this category.

Do i actually care no. Cause i prefer castmates for Germany and Panthers, Tigers are overrated. .

I’ve been trying to play 5.0 with Japan, Italy or France, but there is 1 in 20 games at +0.0 BR and the rest at +1.0. I guess it’s my own fault since the new pack is popular and a SL grinder.
This pack and the current spawn cost/spawn system supports all those WW2 loveres, be it new player or veteran. They have access to a rather good gun on a okay platform for a HT. But they can spawn 4 of them, not counting the Porsche Tigers. It’s like the situation around T34s and T54s. There is just a lot of them in the techtree and you can keep spawning them, which keeps you relevant and in the game, resulting in the team with less broad lineups to crumble after only a short time.

all imo

Japan would have more vehicles if Gaijin bothered to give it more, and people including me have contributed to more to be added but none have been added. I think it’s intentional despite the suggestions that all of us vote yes since it would expand the tree in a positive. One would be field modification Smoke dischargers which is what Japan did to all vehicles. Only reason Japan likely hasn’t gotten any is mostly due to most having documentation proof but not always pictures.

You’re still missing the point. Germany is winning more now at 5.7 because more experienced players are dropping down to use it, not because of some logs on the side of the Tiger. Germany typically is notorious for horrible teams at those BRs. This pack has helped relieve some of that and bring better players in. That’s the key. TIgers? Tigers with logs? Tigers with ice creams? Panthers? Cougars? doesn’t matter. Player does. I personally don’t rate the Panther, so it’s not even in my line-up.

I don’t know about the win rates but offering this pack at a fair price was the best thing Gaijin did in 2024. Hope they do the same style packs with other nations. 2 good tanks and a good SPAA.
