German Tanks are Overpowered - Buff Needed for Russia and Other Nations

This has got to be a joke

Russian angled pen is really good but that does not mean it can magically pen extreme angles lol. This is 100% the shooter’s fault lmao there is no “to be fair”. People seriously need to improve their common sense.

The T-90M is not “equal enough” to the 2a7v. The 2a7v has better survivability, mobility in both forward and reverse, better round, better reload, better depression, and frontal protection. (They recently buffed the 2a7v’s upper frontal plate so that it actually bounces).

The T-90M on the other hand has better protection coverage that extend to the side profile which is useful against enemies like the HSTV-L and other autocannons.

A better comparison would be the T-80BVM since it has better mobility than the T-90M but loses out on spall liners which doesn’t matter too much on Russian tanks anyway. But even then, the T-80BVM would still lose against the 2a7v but at least its “equal enough”.

Meanwhile Gaijin the moment they look at Gripen or anything else for a minor nation that’s bullying major nation players: Realism is just a suggestion and we change things for balance.

thats the best part, it isnt

Wake up War Thunder forums, it’s time to watch people fall for obvious bait again

Ah see. That was just Because it came to Britain and its against the ToS for Britain to not only be competitive but Meta

But you see, the Gripen was actually nerfed because it was a half competent Swedish multirole (not allowed), a good jet in the British tree (not allowed), and a good plane for Italy (Only allowed at low BRs).

I would suggest play a quite more, even 1k hours doesnt feel like having a grasp on a game but I definitely can say tanks you tried at russian side arent underpowered.

Actually War thunder is the last game i want to suggest playing, scratch that.

The Tiger I is 5.7. The T-34 1942 is 4.0, you won’t be seeing them unless you intentionally put it in a higher BR lineup. This T-34 is AMAZING by the way, absolutely one of the best 4.0s by a long shot.

The T-34-57 is 4.7, so can see Tigers in a downtier, but it can penetrate them, so…

The T-34-85s are 5.7 so see Tigers regularly but the 85mm can make quick work of them provided you know what you’re doing and don’t shoot the front of a properly-angled Tiger. But you can easily pen the sides.

You simply haven’t played enough of the game and don’t understand what the game mechanics are, nor what the game is meant to be like.

It never states the game is meant to have historically accurate armor.
Models are meant to be historically accurate and that’s about it.

Your logic makes no sense since it fails to acknowledge even the concept of balancing, just like the last 12 years of the game coming into existence before even tanks were a thing.

Most advertisement, marketing is literally about it providing an authentic, realistic experience with highly detailed and authentic vehicles.

Top tier/modern vehicles I can imagine being an utter mess given most of the real data is classified and subject to heavy propaganda if data is ever publicized. However, WW2 is almost all public and often part of common ownership with libraries and academic publishing providing much of the details.

Not all of it is public, you are correct to an extent however it’s fairly clear when they say anything related to the term Historically accurate it’s only really referring to the models. It’s being used as a broader term. I don’t exactly agree with how it’s used, since it is rather deceptive. But can’t change how it goes since sadly it has screwed the game up rather badly. From poor namings to wrong models, copying & pasting the same cockpit, sounds of engines, etc. Certainly affected the performance of stuff though.

The squad of Pizza Vans/R3s about to clutch up within the first 3 minutes

The only ones who need a lowering of BR are the Italians.

The strongest nation is Russia is filthy strong thanks to the propaganda they put in it some examples:

  • Object 292 with a mix of parts taken from different variants of the T-80 that were never fitted to the vehicle in reality and that was commented on by users during the event and they just ignored it. It took me about five minutes to find the exact type of hull and engine used on the 292, so Gaijin had to actively ignore the tests in order to increase the tank’s performance.
  • The Yak-141 gets technologies and armaments it never had because ‘if development had not been cancelled, it probably could have gotten them’.

But then with other vehicles (T1E1 90mm, Leopard 2 PSO) they can’t get their upgrades (although those could actually carry them) because suddenly it only counts if the vehicle was equipped with them at a specific date

Icing on the cake:
‘We don’t care for historical aspect of loadouts for a long time already, only for technical possibility to use this or that ordnance.’

this isnt world of tanks.
if you wnt arcadic nerfs and ahistorical changes go play that game

The 292 is only made on T-80BV (we know that by interviews from development team and by general appearance of it IRL

Spoiler

, I literally stood to it, seeing 1G42 sight, lack of auxilery power unit, mounts for K-1, T-80B style turret, all giving clear understanding it’s based upon T-80BV) basis, on serial vehicle, only changing anything necessary to fit 152mm gun.
And yes autoloader wasnt fitted IRL but it was half ready by time the experiment ended, with tech documents and schemes already being ready.
The only reason for 292 existence is testing out fitting 152mm cannon onto serial tanks which was proven possible just fine.
If you want to call your ignorance a propaganda go ahead.
I would love to see how a single tank and a jet no one wants to even research is a sign of strongest nation, by your logic.

And this isnt first time devs added a variant of a vehicle specific to the time period, devs have been doing that since T-55/62/64A were in game, so dont be so suprised, devs will use historical versions applicable to certain time period just to make sure the vehicle performs as they wish.
This isnt first time this happened, Radkapfwagen never had turret drives to begin with, Ho-Ri designs are completely fictional and ones that existed arent even shown in game, R2Y2 serie or F-16AJ.
Dont get me started on German paper tanks.

Devs commented that the PSO-VT would be another vehicle if released, you can shake all you want.

Just like the Ho-229, R2Y2s, and several other aircraft?

There is no Russian bias in WT, and this thread is about lower tier tanks, not top tier stuff.

russian tanks are performing better than they should be already if we wanted to be realistic we would make the t34 armor fail half the time due to metal qualitys and if you really wanted to stretch it further if you german transmission in the wrong way or to hard they would fail

only bias i have ever seen is the updaates flooded with either russian or chinese vehicles mostly
