Definitely agree on the replacement of the M16s as the Japanese one is more captured equipment while the Thai one was actually properly procured and the added minor horsepower upgrade would be much more appreciated.

M16 was not captured like others american ground vehicles. It was used by JSDF.
In fact there is no japanese captured ground vehicles ingame.

Japanese M16 was used in JSDF It was transferred from the United States and adopted into service of new formed JSDF, because of this the Japanese M16 in the Japanese branch is the most legitimate of the other versions.

They could add JSDF M8 Greyhound to make beginner friendly.
Also captured IJA M3 stuarts.
And IJA soviet vehicles.

But need to say that most soviet vehicles was than sent to the Manchu army for serving.

For this matter, from what I tried to search It is expected that there will be other naval guns, such as the 57 mm gun and another machine gun or canon removed from older warships such as the Royal Torpedo Boat.

Another example of a machine gun (Unclear text) which is expected to be installed on Half-Track.

From what I recall, and someone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. But pretty sure that was just simply an aggressor mockup using wood or cardboard. It isn’t actual ERA.
Either way would be cool to see in the game regardless of it being ERA or not.
