National tressures…

Type 95 bulldozer: A post-war modification, currently on crownfunding for its restoration.
Type 95 Ha-Go: A successfully funded project. Recently arrived to Japan.
Type 95 Kurogane, only two examples exist in Japan, both in excellent conditions.

I really like the looks of this car.

What are those screwed on paddings? Just cushion or insulation? Early spall liner xD ?

spall liners but what tank is this?

Type 89 I-Go

da heck, then it must be padding???

They say this one is Type 97 Chi-Ha, but I’m not good with Type 89 I-Go turrets.

I’ve heard about asbestos liners somewhere in Japanese tanks and at least Type 95 Ha-Go has it between crew and engine compartments, but why would the whole turret be padded?

Sorry. As real you sent the Chi-Ha turret
I was searching it for Chi-Ha long time and thought that it wasn’t there
So here we have photos of Chi-Ha and I-Go asbestos liners in turret

It seems to be from this website, which is indeed a Type 89 turret.

Perhaps they are for sound proofing or maybe protecting the commander’s head from smashing against the wall.

In 2014, the organization “Association for the Creation of the National Defense Technology Museum” (ACNDTM) opened a private museum in Gotemba City that exhibited the Japanese Kurogane (pre-restoration), American Willys MB, and German Kubelwagen. This might be the only time in history these three vehicles have all been in the same room together, unless a meetup in Russia has eluded me. Since then the museum has been closed, however all vehicles are still in the possession of ACNDTM.

The Ha-Go in the back is a replica, originally created for HBO’s “The Pacific” series, then purchased by the CEO of ACNDTM and improved upon to further resemble the real thing. In the last couple of days, it was agreed upon that the Ha-Go replica is going to be traded with the National Museum of the Pacific War for the Chi-Ha I mentioned in my last post.
It’s a little early, but let me tell you about what happens after you achieve your goal! A living witness of post-war reconstruction, the Type 95 light tank modified bulldozer to the next generation! Also, any more information on this prototype Thai light tank? Mentioned on the 15-Tonnes Infantry Fighting Vehicle article by Tank Encyclopedia. I see the IFV was brought up in this thread a month ago, I am interested specifically in the tank prototype.

Apparently they were installed to keep interior cooler. They are asbestos after all.

My three premium tank recommendations if anyone is planning to take advantage of the 30% discount:

Honorable mention (Not recommened):

You either love it or hate it. It can be the most broken thing for your enemy that day, or it could be the most expensive garbage you ever waste your money on. It all depends on two things: you as a player and the map RNG.
