Ya an add on armour modification if she is added!
Surprised we never got this box
better protection and build quality and a VT4 ill say that at least
The Thai FV101 Scorpion would be great for infantry mode, but it’ll probably take a long time before we get infantry from countries other than the US and Russia.
It could be easier then you think likely it will be a simple line up situation where you add any tank you like. Hopefully someone can dig up an experimental heat round for the scorpion.
Japan will be the most interesting but I am looking forward to China to be fair as they get some cool equipment. Hopefully Gaijin invests in Hummers and armoured cars as they would be useful. We should start pressuring the mods to add an infantry section for firearms and mini equipment like motorbike and horses or something.
Any special Thai infantry equipment out there? If we have these sub trees hopefully they are used in infantry mode as well.
Using soldiers with ballistic shields during assaults appears to be a key tactic currently employed by Thailand.
In addition, the D-Iron Robotic Combat Vehicle armed with a 30 mm gun has already been used in real combat.

ballistic shields would be a nightmare in game.
Ballistic-shield soldiers are now the classic annoying thing in FPS games. At least it would be historically accurate to add them for Thailand.
:)
True most nations though have them as they are affordable and I remember reading that they “boost confidence”. With Gaijins damage calculations it might be less OP.
Thailand has cavalry units so maybe horse could be used in game!

“Type 4 Kou” and “Type 4 APCR” for Japanese long 75mm guns seem to be fictional projectiles, and will hopefully be replaced with the historical, but relatively useless, Type 4 AP.
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/4jhlAT03Ivbk
The historical Type 4 AP Shell was a solid-shot round that was in production at the very end of WWII. It seems that it was mainly produced due to a shortage of production for fuses of Type 1 AP.
This round can also be added to 37mm, 47mm, and 105mm guns, although it will likely be worse than Type 1 AP in all instances.
Realistically it was probably considerably superior than Type 1 AP in terms of penetration - at least compared to shells produced with the lower quality steel alloys.
Gaijin will likely not not that change I will bet 50sl on that. Japan would become baby UK if that where to happen.
Not really. Type 4 AP will only replace “Type 4 Kou”, which is arguably already worse than Type 1 AP after filler changes, and “Type 4 APCR”. Type 1 AP will remain.
okay
One more bug report:
The power output of the BM-Ki engine of Chi-Ri and Ho-Ri Prototype should be increased from 550PS @ 1500rpm to 700PS @ 1800rpm, which was the gross output of the engine with the aviation supercharger removed.
If implemented, this will give Chi-Ri a PS/t of about 19, which should give it acceleration similar to a light tank.

Please, can anyone explain to me what in the actual frick the type 03 is supposed to be? Is there any way this thing could get buffs to even make it somewhat usable? You cant hit helis unless they climb above 60 m and move (dont notch). They have like 60 seconds to react to a launch. (and they gotta be fking blind not to notice a launch)
You cant hit anything closer than 4 km. (is a slight bit of a problem because on like half the maps youre sitting in a bowl fully surrounded by mountainranges with the convenient distance of 4-6 km)
You cant hit anything flying low.
You cant hit anything thats notching your missiles that take forever to get on target.
You cant intercept kh38s because those are within 4 km before your missile is even arcing down again.
Every free vehicle spawns pantsirs missile will get to targets within 10 km quicker than your missile, even denying you the kills that you could get (while dying in the process)
Launch range of 80 km is wildly overexaggerated, judging from testing on custom servers it wont hit even props and bombers further than 35 km at sea level, while the buk (with supposedly 70 km launch range) at least hits them at around 40-45 km distance.
Seriously…spawning this thing is just feeding enemy planes sp and sl…is this junk supposed to be viable because russian cas will waste 3 missiles on you leaving only 3 left to target your teammates that are actually winning the match? because thats how i won quite some matches now…just respawn it sit around and look juicy so they dont spam your teammates denying you all map control? (Bonus points for firing a giant here-i-am pls waste ordinance on me plume every now and then)
But sure, 31000 rp to get wheels modification so i can finally leave spawn on some maps…is this a fucking joke gaijin? I didn’t believe it was possible but this might even dethrone the BUK in terms of uselessness. Well at least you got a good radar and can hide your launchers, but that doesnt really do anything if none of your missiles are able to hit anything. Its kind of a uno reverse from the buk which suffers from shitty radar and cant hide its launchers but has good missiles. Well with the type 03 you sort of dont have any of the buks downsides but in return get missile launch conditions that make it viable on 10% of targets and even on those it likely misses or hits when its already too late.
I mean i didn’t expect japan after all this time without a good top tier spaa to get the absolute best of the best, but cmon man why is it the absolute low end of efficiency again? especially since anyone playing the already oppressive russian top tier lineup can spawn a way better spaa (at least for the ranges that actually matter) without even researching it?
I think the current system is underperforming with its instant turn ability since the 03 uses a fairly unique fin setup with both the front and back being used for steering with high fin AOA on each
On top of that the lofting is very aggressive for short range shots in game
Even then though if gaijin fixed that i think it would still be underperforming as ultimately its still a radar based SAM without the TVM guidance modelled so its just as easy to notch as any other ARH missile
And to top it all off i dont think the kai upgrade would help much at all as knowing gaijin its just gonna be a range upgrade and nothing else
wouldnt that mean they could at least buff its instantaneous g pull for close range targets? i mean its like either you have this which at least at longer ranges is half decent (useless vs helis ofc) or the tan sam which is decent for medium- close ranges. Its like theres no in between, if you play the Type 03 you get farmed by helis and eurofighters, if you play the tan sam you get farmed by helis and long range standoff agms. Like, the loft is nice for long range targets that want to dip behind a mountain again, but if they got something like half a brain they just keep flying closer because anywhere closer than 4 km youre invincible to the type 03. That means you basically have to launch at 6 or better 7 km distance or they will be too close till the missile has arced all the way. 8/10 times thats basically impossible if they pop up at 6 km from behind terrain.
And because ofc the type 03s tnt equiv of 18 kg is like 1/3rd of the BUK it even struggles vs multipathing targets, which is like its one advantage over something like the SAMPT or IRIS-T (shots at disengaging targets at longer ranges). But then again, iris-t has got ir guidance so cant be multipathed, BUK damages a lot of times even when multipathed and has giant proxy radius, type 03 has…idk??? unhistorical huge lofting from launch if the 2 fin steering you described would be somehow implemented correctly? How could it be any different than japan getting the short end of the stick again?
I mean in game the lofting is too aggressive They have it setup for long range shots while really the range/aspect should decide how aggressive the loft is
If gaijin modelled the 2 fin steering that should also help with its instant turn ability
Unfortunately i dont know of any documents that outrate state any of this besides from some minor photo evidence we have showing the fins
Even the lofting is just based on footage of it which of course is gonna be near its maximum range
It should also be able to fire the launchers at a 45 degree angle but gaijin only has it setup for VLS
