I just didn’t know it was photoshop, it’s the same story with the mythical German-made T-34-88 tank modification.

This is real! You were right originally

Okay, I get it, I’ll delete it now so as not to misinform users

30mm M230LF for the APC version?

Even with the autoloader changes its still not 5.7 material, the armor is just completely worthless at that point

It’s always been worthless, flat 75mm of armor is bad even at 3.7.

If Chi-Ri is to move to 5.7, they should have just kept the reload at 3.3s for the full 1st order of ammunition. The upcoming reload time nerf is based on nothing, as was the old reload time. There is no known record of the reload time. It was probably around 3~4s, based on other Japanese mechanical loading devices.

If it’s going to be 5.7, a ridiculous reload with a decent gun would at least be its only standout point at that BR. It’s definitely not necessary to slow down the reload “for balance” with such a BR raise.

Size does matter in military procurement just how you think it is. Bigger faster stronger sometimes does not fit. And, if you cannot fit to get where you need to go you cannot fight.

Poor Leopard it met its match infrastructure which runs in the family 😢

Can be equipped with airburst ammunition

The Royal Thai Army Ordnance Department’s page posted a photo of a Chaiseri vehicle fitted with a remote weapon station made by EOS, which looks similar to the 30mm EOS R400. It also features a mount that appears to be for radar installation, suggesting that the vehicle might be designed for drone detection and destruction. In the company’s promotional video, this turret can also be equipped with Javelin missiles — which Thailand has already procured, though it’s unclear whether they have been delivered yet.

R400 info

As we already know, Japan has selected (or is about to select) the Kongsberg RS6. However, I thought it’d be interesting to see what other options are available for the M230LF.

R400 | Firepower Systems | Electro Optic Systems

SLINGER one shot, one kill

Northrop Grumman’s Dual Feed version:

Moog’s RIWP (probably my favorite)

And of course the Kongsberg RS6

(Side note, there’s also a turret that looks exactly the same called the XM914 RWS, which uses the XM914 gun, which fires the same 30 x 113 ammunition as the M230LF. The only big difference is that the XM914 is heavier for some reason, by about 300 lbs.)

Correction: The recoil weight is heavier, not the mass

(FYI that’s the recoil force not the weight, XM914 is the higher pressure version iirc, but both weigh just less 80kg)

Ah okay. So I’m guessing the M230LF is better suited for lighter vehicles like the JTLV

The image quality isn’t great,
but I found an interesting camouflage net for the Type 10.
