Hmm, so a 105mm armed version of their 8x8 AWAV

Looks like the 105mm version lost the amphibious capability and hull mounted smoke launchers (probably in favor of turret mounted ones) but aside from that it matches perfectly. Seems like it’s a different vehicle

Now here's hoping we'll finally see armed R600 / AFV420 too

It looks smaller, no? I hope it’s a new chassis.

Yeah you’re right. In this image it also looks like the front is quite a bit shorter than the AWAV.

That just makes it more interesting. Potentially another unique Thai vehicle!

Oh… Thai journalist just posted this a few minutes ago 👀

Chaiseri has unveiled the Guardian-T 8x8 equipped with a 105mm gun… It is an armored combat vehicle for cavalry units, using the same drive axle system as the AWAV 8x8. The vehicle features ballistic and mine protection developed from standard STANAG 4569 armor plates, ranging from Level 2 to Level 4. This combat vehicle is fitted with a stabilized turret operated by a two-person crew, armed with a 105mm main gun, a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun, and four ATGMs (anti-tank guided missiles), along with electro-optical cameras, a day sight/thermal imager, and a laser rangefinder.

The Guardian-T is Chaiseri’s latest 8x8 wheeled armored vehicle, developed as an evolution of the AWAV, and made its debut at the Defense & Security 2025 exhibition in Muang Thong Thani.

Spoiler

Not gonna lie, at first glance, Thailand’s new vehicle could easily be mistaken for another Japanese Type 24 ICV variant.

Perfect for the Japan–Thailand tech tree lol.

are those APS sensor panels on the turret cheeks, or is that just me?

That does really look like the Sabrah turret. Also it’s very interesting to see the entirely new hull made for it.

TIL there’s a new Sabrah turret, don’t know how I missed that lmao

Is the 8x8 the AWAV? And dear lord that chassis is tall.

Oh I was almost right

I hope we see more of these Humvees or Humvee like vehicles looking at you Dongfeng EQ2050. Its a travesty gaijin has not opened up the flood gates yet basically everyone has one with some sort of weapon mount because its cheap. So many clones.

Waiting for better photos — the guy who live-streamed the event did a terrible job. He skipped most of the interesting parts. There are also two more 4x4 armored wheeled vehicles with 30mm cannon turrets and anti-drone radars, but I’m pretty sure the Guardian-T’s turret is just a mock-up. I don’t see the gun breech inside the turret.

Edit:
here more photos

That would explain why it uses the Sabrah demonstrator turret with the APS radars but no APS mounted. The final turret might look closer to that found on the Sabrah ASCOD II from the Philippines.

Confirmed to be a mock-up

Mr Krit Kulhirun, the owner of Chaiseri, said the vehicle is still a mock-up, presented to propose and solicit feedback from interested parties. Design and systems can still change, especially the weapons, for which both French and Israeli turret options are offered to meet customer needs and constraints. However, turret manufacturers must produce or assemble locally in Thailand and transfer the know-how so Chaiseri can perform maintenance itself, enabling Chaiseri to guarantee the customer’s highest combat readiness.

Wonder what kind of French turret it could be?
