General Japanese & Thai Ground Forces Discussion HQ

The Japanese M15 is different from the American one. The American one is the M15, while the Japanese used the M15A1.
In the M15, the M2 machine guns are mounted above the 37mm cannon, while in the M15A1, they are mounted below. Technically, it won’t be a copy&past

I really hope these will become tech tree stuff and not locked behind events or paywalls like most prototypes are

It would be way higher in BR, considering that, according to estimations, it’s APFSDS would be similar if not better than the slppjr m/01 present on the Strf 9040C.
My guess is if Gaijin add it with the estimate shell and the 750rpm gun, it will sit at around 11.0.

10.3 is my best guess. But if it turns out to be a really powerful vehicle, it can be pumped up to 10.7 to 11.0 for sure. It probably won’t be considered a SPAA either, probably as a light vehicle due to its name CCV (Close Combat Vehicle).

why are they all aura farming. 🤣

CCV will most likely be labeled as a light tank after the Type 24 ICV.
There are some aspects of the CCV that sadly we do not have any information about it, like turret traverse speeds, ammo capacity, gun and thermal sights, engine power and transmission (even thought it is most likely the NBC Recon 8x8’s power pack), which can render it’s performance in game.
As I said, depends on how Gaijin will implement it into the game, but given the fact that japanese players tend to be really good (the reason why some vehicles are overbr’d) I do bet that it will eventually sit at 11.0 if not higher.

Hello guys, i’m wondering if this is a bug or what
The gunner sight isn’t rendering the beam of the IR spotlight, this is the Type 74(C) btw

Doesn’t it use the CTA40 gun? That’s like, around 200mm at point blank range and coupled with a 750RPM would make it a nasty machine. And that’s not discussing the 50mm gun

This is also on the 74E and F too

(never knew we had to turn it on ourselves I thought it would be on by default xD so I thought it was broken. This is now gunna be fun to use)

Also whatever IR spotlight japan owns, I want one of them… It beams literally through a whole hill

That also has a firerate of 313rpm. For comparison that is a shot every ~1.9s, more than twice the firerate of the 2S38 at 120rpm (a shot every 0.5s)

It’s still being tested, as of May of this year.

No, they are not testing it.
In the X post it was said that they were using this caves for testing 120mm and CTA guns and they rent this caves again but it doesn’t mean that they will test CTA gun it just mean that they will test some gun and mostly not CTA because this project was closed/frozen and missing in any budget document

problem with the CCV is the lack of info on the optics and radar

Damn, I thought it was in the budget document. Nvm then…

I’ve seen that thailand has VL MICA, would it be too controversial for Japan to get it at the same time as France? I’m really tired of the tansam kai it’s so fucking horrible to play what a pile of shit seriously

I don’t think its controversial, but there may be a problem with how to implement it, as it has a mast mounted Radar;

But there is also Japan’s domestic Type 03 and Type 03 Kai.

Kinda surprised Gaijin didn’t use either of them. Could of competed well against the SLM. The SLM has 40km launch range. Though idk about the Type 03/kai’s missiles info. Also surprised Type 11 wasn’t chosen for the Leviathan update since it has 15km range. Hopefully they all come in the near future.

Type 03 would have a slightly longer range than the SLM but its radar guided which makes it easier to defeat and it being a larger missile makes it have worse maneuverability than the SLM

It does feature hand guidance as an option on top of the ARH seeker but i doubt gaijin would implement it since it technically becomes man in loop guidance
