No. I have never heard about any uparmored Chi-Nu and probably it is not true also but won’t say 100%.
The only thing what can be called “uparmored Chi-Nu” is Chi-Nu equipped with Chi-To turret but I guess this one wasn’t mentioned here

There weren’t, I suggest take Mai’s claims with a grain of salt.
He has been wrong just like Saryn on multiple occasions.
as for example with the Ho-Ri and the Type-61 with a Skysweeper AA system mounted on to it.

I don’t see what this hate on Saryn is about now. So far he’s been really helpful. On your earlier list of misinformation, most of it wasn’t misinformation at all.
And besides that, mistakes can happen. It’s not intentional misinformation to make mistakes.

No but these are one of the more notable ones that come to mind.
One of the other claims he mentioned were about the new CTWV RCV getting the AHEAD munitions for their primary arnament.
and that there was a prototype SPAAG using the 25mm guns from the Navy.
gaijin themselves said theres a internal report about that when the RCV came but idk if it went further than that

Because we actually know that it was purchased by JGSDF and only Bushmaster users in JGSDF is Type 24 ICV and Type 25 RCV so Saryn said total true here lol
It is not “AHEAD” but Air burst but this rounds are pretty similar especially for game realisation that’s why I also sometimes call it “AHEAD”

on JP localisation it is this, whilst eng is just ICV P and RCV P
(or could put it as CTWV ICV || Type 24 ICV (P), CTWV RCV || Type 25 RCV (P)) (or remove the (P) since idk if any changes were made to the official production ones)

He has been spreading missinformation about Japanese equipment, misleading people or hyping it up to be more than it actually is.
which often lead to people claiming stuff where IRL it didn’t have.
To be honest half of your claims of his lie are false…

I really don’t think that it’s done on purpose.
It’s very common to make mistakes, especially while researching things. On game forums or normal discussions it’s just not as consequential as published articles or books, so a lot of things are just what people think they know and not everything is always perfectly proven. Especially when info on something is more limited there’s also a lot more assumptions and theories on what things could be if something isn’t properly proven or denied yet.
Personally I still sometimes need to correct my mistake for misreading F-2 pylons, where I really believed the wet CRLs had MRM integration. Turns out the markings for MRM were never there, but I believed it for a time, and since all of this happens somewhat live on the forum and discord, others saw that and some still believe it.
I think it’s a very good idea to call out and correct mistakes like this, but I don’t think it necessarily takes bad people to make them.
He does it intentionally, if not he is so far up there where the light doesn’t shines.
If you have seen the F-14A for JASDF discussion where he claimed that the JASDF trialed the F-14A.
I have never head of JASDF testing the F-14A and especially never heard them testing the F-14A block 135 as he love to mention it soo much.

Wasn’t it? It was a main contender for Japans third F-X fighter program alongside the F-15 and F-16. At least from what I’ve seen the only outlier that wasn’t trialed by Japanese pilots was the F-16, where it was only observed from an F-4.
Sure, it’s a stretch to add a vehicle like that, but that’s just how it is for any trialed vehicle, not specific to the F-14.
