That would be nice if those ships that you have proposed could arrive, but Gaijin really forgot all those pre-dreadnought and armored cruisers ( the only one we have is the Ikoma ).
There are a lot of ships from that era for all nations and I still think we jumped too fast to late WWII ships and missle destroyers.
It’s a really bizarre addition, but at this point we’re all used to it. From a historical standpoint, it can be important in order to see the evolution of italian destroyers (the Poeti class are enlarged Maestrales). From a gameplay perspective, however, it’s a complete waste.
P.S.= The addition of the Gioberti at br 3.7 makes the fact that the Corazziere is at br 4.3 even more insane, the difference between the two is functionally literally a single (mediocre) cannon.
You have the Grecale that has better AA and the aft turret completely free at the same Br and the Corazziere at 4.3 with worse AA and just a single gun more.
Apart from the historical value as you said its position in the TT doesn’t really offer anything worth of value.
You can build a full free 3.7 lineup, sure, but they’re all rank I so you can’t even complete the basic tasks with them.
I think that once you’ve researched an entire tech tree, any RP gained from then on with vehicles in that tree gets retroactively used towards the research of a newly introduced vehicle. I had the same thing happen to me regarding the new German DD.
So rules have been changed and now we can see such vessels as Emanuele Filiberto Duca d’Aosta, Regina Maria and Scipione Africano in the Italian tree
and have more chances to receive others which Italy historically got from different countries (like Bari, Premuda and etc).
Since they only add laid down ships, our only hope is probably Impero and some war-time ideas for its improvements. Maybe better RoF at least. Not sure about 406 mm cannons, because Italy didn’t buid their own.
A little information about the Hungarian-built, Austro-Hungarian submarines
Havmanden-class:
U 21 (UBAG-Fiume)
U 22 (UBAG-Fiume)
U 20 (DGT- Arzenal)
U 23 (DGT-Arzenal)
UB-II class:
Spoiler
U 29 (Danubius)
U 30 (Danubius)
U 31 (Danubius)
U 32 (Danubius)
Caintare Navale built two, the U 27 and U 28, but they contracted DGT since they didnt have enough space, therefore all 6 was built effectively in Hungary.
UB II U 40 (Caintare Navale- DGT ) replacement of the U 12 Dutch-class
UB II U 41 (DGT- Arzenal) replacement of the U 6 Dutch-class, received the U 6’s newly ordered petrol engines that were not built in due the U 6 being lost. It also received a periscope from the U 6 and the battery pack from the U 5
Since the engines of the U 6 were heavier than the ones of the UB II class, the superstructure of the U 41 was lengthened by one rib at the engine room. Therefore the U 41 ended up longer and with a bigger displacement than the typical UB II class sub.
