Last time i willingly tried out was when ground was released. I played then with 20 fps.
After that i accidentally got into realistic matches due to a bug, that every time selected realistic when i logged on. And when i did not pay attention i got into a realistic game.
And then i was just yoloing around, so i did not get crew locked.

And i don’t mean vehicles, i mean game mechanics, game modes, etc.

It’s not an exclusive mode. Can’t really find a way to point this out to you any more than I already do. Air battles have been in the game long before they even considered adding ground vehicles. War Thunder always was an aircraft game first. Get it now?
