Like Gaijin, why do you keep throwing vehicles at the wall, hoping they will change something? I get that there are a lot of interesting vehicles, but isn’t a huge portion of the player base asking for fixes and balance adjustments? Where is the bomber rework?
Let’s take the bomber rework as an example—not only would it boost bomber sales, but it would also allow you to introduce premium bombers at no loss. So why aren’t you fixing the game? Please stop focusing solely on top-tier content and go back to rebuild the core structures your game is built on.
Better or fixed bombers will create more bots and/or zombers, most players hates them so won’t work
Also, why fix something when most of the time the server (na at least) has +100k players the whole day ?
The key is to flood the game with vehicles and in the meantime fix some stuff
Whilst i am with you - this forum is being far away from being representative.
If you look at the average player you meet in battles it seems quite obvious that the overwhelming majority never heard of this forum - otherwise we would see different ways of playing the game and a hell of traffic here.
In addition it might be worth to think about balance - from my pov gaijin steers the “balance” of wt solely from an economic (their earnings and player progress) perspective based on statistical data.
Balance from the player perspective is usually aimed to generate an even playing ground (so no op vehicles) within matches - which is not in gaijin’s interest as it would reduce premium / GE sales.
A “fair and square” game play would also increase the need to learn and improve - which would make the game way less attractive for the myriads of new players…
I see here some logical flaws as bombers are:
Quite rare as classification in the profitable jet segment
Limited to 4 in each team
Seen by gaijin as a cheap tool to create the illusion that there is no need to learn or to improve (with base bombing - doesn’t matter in which plane class)
Seen by players as zero skill tool to progress without having any clue how this game works (with base bombing - doesn’t matter in which plane class)
Have (on purpose) the sole purpose to play the role of an easy kill for (clueless) fighter pilots
A strengthening of bomber game play would:
Extend match duration as they would be more attractive for actually experienced pilots
Increase the difficulties to shoot them down and would therefore hamper the progress of prop fighter pilots before they enter the highly profitable jet segment
Create a higher SL/RP income for bombers
None of that is really in gaijin’s interest.
From gaijin’s perspective the game looks exactly how the majority of playing (and most important paying) customers want it to be.
Criticism by long term players is not relevant as long as they earn enough with clueless kids.
There are already hordes of bots, zombies and cheaters. Their “we changed AC system” didn’t help anything as BattleEye already suffered from cheaters no less then EAC (just take DayZ for example) so cheat makers already know how to bypass this sh*t. And don’t make me laugh about balance with their overop leopards.
They constantly fix bugs: They’ve never “thrown vehicles at the wall”.
Remember, when critiquing to be accurate and articulate.
There are many things to improve in War Thunder, and we must be as accurate as possible in our critiques, mm10000.
@Creastroy
So asking Gaijin to continue fixing bugs, overhauling their AI, and generally critiquing War Thunder is trolling to you…
Keep defending Gaijin.
@themadseventeen
Stop trying to derail this discussion.
I get you love Gaijin Entertainment and think that criticizing War Thunder is a bad take, but come on…
