Gaijin. Update Sim EC

,

defending bombers bots are best for props, easy score point at lower BR because they are in circle of death. so… at higher BR… never

Been playing EC for the last 4 years, and the last 2 years have been underwhelming, boring, and bland and these are the reasons I switched from air rb to sim,the planes and mechanics they have added are not on par with the gamemode itself, the gamemode feels like it’s stuck it 8.0BR.it needs dynamic gameplay ,even the addition of air refueling tankers would spice things up a bit or even a simplistic version of AWACS or Early warning radar would give players something to prioritize other than PvP. We still need SEAD implemented,we still need full Fidelity datalink, and it wouldn’t hurt anyone to go through a learning curve for these mechanics . This brings me to another proposition,we have a lot of unused maps such as alpine meadows and others thar could be used as a combined forces dynamic with ground, costal and air in air and or ground sim ,also the bases in EC should have modules like the airfields .these are additions I thought would’ve been added long ago before they added all of these premiums for new players.furthermore I would like to see chosen role and objectives based on what aircraft you want to use so the gameplay loop isn’t just straight PVP camping airfield all the time, players need to be able to work for air superiority by taking out certain assets like SAMs.

It makes no sense we have low br planes brainlessly crashing on the airfields in top tier ,those same planes could be replaced by something like AWACs or a BVR air patrol set to cover players landing…and I’ve always felt like the airfields and carriers were to “dead” for a lack of better terms , where are the crew and personnel?

Even simple changes can improve airfield life. Devs can add static planes on the ground. AI bots in the air need fresh branes to operate rockets and defend airfield. I think that’s why we still have Korean war planes flying over 14.3 airfield.
But, planes on the ground should not have any new functionality. They can simply be parked in and outside hangars and be a potential targets for smart weaponry (though airfield SAMs now intercept almost everything). May be some static trucks here and there, we don’t even ask for NPC walking around

Yes exactly that, this would be a good change of pace especially if they tone down how much airfield Sams intercept,I don’t think ITO and Roland’s can even intercept as effectively as they currently do,I’ve seen tor m1 on certain Asian maps but they don’t intercept as efficiently as ito.

If u want to update EC so people actually have lineups and don’t just leave since they have no fighter when pvp starts, support this idea too.

  • PAPI/VASI lights
  • Possibility to spawn/respawn on the plate instead of on the runway (possibly with some small bonus if one does so)
  • ILS/GCA

And yes, rework the whole AI aspect!

Yes that would be absolutely perfect additions,

Also Learning curves are good:

Warthunder sim is just air rb in the cockpit,

You still have all the aids and mechanics from air rb such as rwr hud, speed, altitude, ammo, weapons systems …fuel, engine status…etc ,all in the same hud used in RB when it’s in the cockpit.sure one can turn it off via settings but my opponent/adversary won’t be as limited ,this puts the players at a level playing field when it come to a game advertised as a simulator such as the game digital combat simulator .learning to look around the cockpit to know where you compass is or changing radar screens/MFD would inherently make the detailed cockpits the devs have worked on more useful.learning bearings from your cockpit hud, learning bandit range and altitude from radar, learning rwr indicators ,and more should be part of a gamemode like Enduring Confrontation.

PAPI/VASI lights

Possibility to spawn/respawn on the plate instead of on the runway (possibly with some small bonus if one does so)

ILS/GCA

This should be implemented ASAP since it’s such a minor change and because they have been working on remodeling airfields.

Yeah, that was a bitter pill to swallow, when they announced they remodeled modern airfields, claiming special attention to realistic airport lighting that they also developed together with real pilots - only to then see they have not added any approach lights and only taxiway lights and “christmas trees” were slightly improved…

PAPI/VASI is standard since quite early in the already quite long history of computer flight simming (as would be working flight path markers /HUD’s, I have to add)…

Interesting idea, but who would use it?
90 percent of players in a session have negative KD, and a significant portion of those who land do so in an “arcade belly landing” style.
Farmers don’t think about returning to the airport while performing their kamikaze missions :D But yes, let’s add PAPI lights.
there are no night maps…

But that game mode literally encourages you to return to the af (although it’s really missing the ability to change your loadout after landing). And I encounter bad weather or poor visibility in Sim EC quite often.

…which has absolutely nothing to do with PAPI/VASI.

Yes a lot of players would not use it, but it’ would be a low effort addition that would increase immersion and would be used by players who actually care about flying the airplane, not just controlling it.

Alright guys, they implement a Maneuver kill reward and the only mode where this system won’t work is enduring confrontation. Isn’t it wonderful?

War Thunder Thunderclouds

Is PAPI really operating? Or do the developers really understand how PAPI operates? I have never seen PAPI actually providing information in the game. No matter from which angle you enter it, it will always show 2 white and 2 red.

I came to check in expecting a bigger fuss about the Maneuver Kill topic, but…
It’s surprisingly quiet.

Or perhaps everyone’s just too disgusted to even speak?

Well, one word…

I feel the same way…

No, they’re just fixed lights for decoration.

Hard to say if it’s intentionally not working (not deemed necessary/important) or if function of those lights is not understood…

No way! That’s going too far in underestimating them (lol).
They’re flight game developers, after all!
Surely they know about PAPI, right?
…Right?

I want to believe so…
