Man(Not you Mytho) forgets that Japan mains has dealt with nerfs for so long that we got used to it. Were hell-bent Veterans of the damn nation in WT. We frown upon the ones performing less than optional but know they will get better. But if everyone is having fun that is what matters the most.
This isn’t even related to the stranger but someone really doesn’t like these comments.
What nerf has Japan suffered excluding its 8.7 tanks being raised to 9.0 which every other nation had to deal with as it’s meant to decompress the BR range?
it a premium version of a tank you already have their is nothing op about it
japan needed it and i hope for more stuff for them
Never said it was. Nor will I make a non-sensical claim.
i didn’t mean for that to be reply to you sorry
Your logic is non-sensical. Just because Gaijin has failed to balance something previously does not justify further imbalance.
Japanese and French mains on their way to gaslight everybody be like:
Luckily, I haven’t forgotten about the Type 16 at 8.7 (that was worse than the WMA/PTL spam) or the Tan-SAM being 10.0 on release (while I. Chaparral was 10.3 lmao).
410mm vs 481mm. What difference exactly is 71mm gonna do?
M1A1 at the same BR has a 5s reload when aced. Only 1s behind on a much better protected tank. Sounds balanced to me.
Russian tanks don’t have the driver and gunner nicely lined up for a oneshot kill and have far better armor.
Leclercs have better darts, thermals, armor, and even optics. Their armor is quite respectable and can catch a lot of shots you’d expect to go through.
Wow its almost as if you shouldn’t take such fights against a tank you KNOW will out-reload you!
One wonders how you got this far given that you 100% have met tanks that could out-reload you. Having first shot advantage in the first place almost guarantees a win unless you cock it up.
None that’s my point. The reload rate is all that matters.
That is how uptiers and the BR system works, yes. You can always face tanks and aircraft that are better than you in every way until you reach the HIGHEST BRs.
The issue isn’t a tank which is “better”. It’s a tank whose reload rate allows it to get 3 rounds off before you can get 2 rounds off.
In 8 seconds the Type 90 has fired twice. By the time the Abrams has gotten a second round off the Type 90 is halfway through reloading a third round. That 1 second matters a lot.
It’s not that the tank is better than you. It’s the tank’s ability to kill your team mates before you’ve had a chance to react.
Type 89 has been nerfed in pretty much every aspect of its performance, namely losing 2 ATGMs and losing the ability to fire those on the move.
Type 74s went from near-Leopard 1 mobility (the correct performance) to the anemic mobility it has now.
Type 93 almost doubled in weight in a recent update, and before that it lost its smokeless missiles.
Type 5 and Ho-155 30mm cannons were nerfed in their velocity, killing power, and reliability at doing so.
The Chi-Tos are the same BR as the M4A1 76 despite being worse in every way. Same with the Chi-Nu and Pz IV G.
R2Y2s are now 8.0 despite being 7.3-worthy aircraft with underpowered engines.
The A6M5 Ko is now 5.3, with an engine worthy of 3.0, where it meets aircraft that can go almost a full 200kph faster than it.
Type 87 RCV lost its stabilizer (though that was a historical change) and got uptiered.
Type 10 is still missing a lot of their armor. Same with Type 90.
N1K2s are ~250kg overweight.
STB is supposed to have a loader assist that was omitted for the production model (Type 74) due to cost.
Pretty much all ww2 japanese aircraft are missing a lot of top speed, as their top speeds were registered at military power (in-game 100% throttle) instead of WEP - an exception to this is the Ki-84 which was tested post-war by the US.
This is merely what I can remember off the top of my head and ignores all the repeated unfair BR increases to many vehicles.
I believe most of the changes above are historical changes.
The majority of these are modeling issues. “nerf” as in Gaijin has decided to balance a vehicle which was over performing ingame.
Air is unbalanced. It is not balanced for any nation. Until Gaijin chooses to uncouple Ground / Air BR it’s nearly impossible to balance even if Gaijin was trying to do so. Luckily that’s on the roadmap so we’ll have to wait and see.
Even the slow Leo 2A4 can get 2 shots off in 12 seconds. The M1A1 can certainly do it too. The only ones who can’t are the slower and much more armored russian and possibly chinese tanks (which coincidentally you main).
Again, it’s almost as if a higher BR tank is more dangerous than a lower BR tank. Who could have guessed!
An IFV could do the exact same if it approached from the side (and if you have to “react” then so did the Type 90). A Type 90 will not win a frontal engagement anyway, its armor is far too thin.
And if you don’t have first shot advantage anyway, there is an overwhelming chance for you to lose the engagement regardless of what you do next or what direction it came from. You’re lacking awareness and map knowledge.
You should try actually playing the vehicles you complain about before making such uneducated posts.
Historical or not, it is a nerf. Uptiering a vehicle is also an indirect nerf, as its competition becomes stronger.
What? My Japanese equipment has barely been touched by alleged nerfs.
The only vehicles that got BR changed are the recon cars added recently.
Everything else is perfectly balanced while being far more accurate today than the past.
9.0 Japan is hilariously strong.
@PercussionCap
Type 89 when from unrealistically arcadey and the most OP IFV in the game to balanced and powerful.
Type 74 0 - 50: 12 seconds.
Leopard 1 0 - 50: 15 seconds. Type 74 is faster currently.
Type 93 reduced mass while getting a more powerful engine.
Type 5 guns are still 1km sniper capable while one shotting most things I shoot.
Chi-Tos are as fast as Sherman while having a superior gun.
R2Y2s are rather strong 8.0s being better F-84Gs essentially.
A6M5 Ko is among the most powerful 5.3s in the game using a powerful 1500HP engine.
Missing armor isn’t a nerf.
Notice I say this as someone that has used ALL the vehicles I mentioned.
A6M5 Ko was OP at 5.0 when I used it. Despite me being bad at air RB in 2019 I have a 2:1 KDR in it.
My average KDR in IFVs was 0.6 while Type 89 was 1.15. Today all my IFVs are around that KDR but Type 89 was hilariously busted. I like it where it is now, it’s strong and not OP.
I wasn’t referring to the amounts, I was referring to when it happens.
Another thing, Type-4 Chi-To’s struggle a bit when they’re forced to fight 76mm’s although this is unintentionally historically correct. Since the Japanese 75 was on less par with the 76 but still better than the 75mm and short 76mm. However it is still very potent and a personal favorite.
You would think that except there’s only two in the game with penetration high enough to do this consistently at top tier, one isn’t even an IFV.
The 2S38 and the HSTV-L.
One is 10.0, the other is 11.3
Notice Gaijin isn’t one for balancing.
