Gaijin should be more open to vehicle removal and more strict about vehicle addition

All cas sucks

I didn’t say Sweden was bad I just said playing top tier sucks in general

Playing 10.0 ground the SU25s just zoom around and use their magic rockets and kill everyone meanwhile vacuuming up stingers like they are nothing

Well, to my experience the enemy team is already dead when I bring it out :/

I mean… even with the AMRAAM the F.3 is going to still be a god awful plane, just one that can bully planes 1.0 lower than it. It still isn’t going to work against any 29/14/16

I deployed on the non DU armor M1A1in 2005 and never saw M829/ M829A1 in my entire military service. We carried M829A2, M830, M830A1, and M1028 during combat with that tank. None of the later developments to M829 ammunition designed to defeat reactive armor have been added to game yet reactive armor being so prevalent at top tier. On the other side the reactive armor hasn’t been added to the Bradley, or the other Abrams that used TUSK system. The M1A1 HC should get the TUSK I like is on the SEP in game and the TUSK II go to the 2 M1A2 models.

How many stingers was it? 25? Yeah no way Gaijin didn’t do that deliberately.

Adding the M829A3 and A4 with their anti-ERA capability will do absolutely nothing, I’m afraid.
There is already ammo in game with anti-ERA capability but Gaijin doesn’t implement this mechanic. And even if it did, it would be unlikely to do anything to at least Relikt because Gaijin added unique modifiers to it meant to prevent western ammo advantage.

Nothing will till the typhoon, but at least it wont be playing with every single handicap in the book. It will have 1 area where its equal. But SHar FA2 could be fun, at least providing they give it decent IR missiles

The fact they removed the Maus, Coelian, Panther ll and Tiger ll 105 but added the Krohnstadt made them lost any sort of credibility when it comes to what vehicles they add and remove.
Even aside from the fact those vehicles were added to fill a gap, and that gap has never been filled by anything else.

The APFSDS calculator was literally invented by a western physicist.

They have specifically stated multiple times that regarding naval vehicles as long as the ship had its plans finalized or started construction it can come to the game.

They did this after they realized that as we add more modern battleships certain nations are going to get left behind if they didn’t add unfinished ships, namely Germany and the Soviets.

Oh and fyi the Krondstadt is still more real than the representation of the Panther II and Tiger 105 we have in game so…

(Coelian should have stayed though as it at least existed in mockup form unlike the Ostwind II that replaced it with no evidence of it existing outside of like one line of text in a book, not even a photo of it exists.)

So how many ships do we have in the game that never existed aside from the Krohnstadt?

Oh and fyi the Krondstadt is still more real than the representation of the Panther II and Tiger 105 we have in game so…

Than we have in game, yes… that’s because Gaijin created those unrealistic and impossible versions of said vehicles, not because those vehicles were impossible to be created.

Also not much real about the Krohnstadt, it would have never ever existed in the way it does in game, the Soviets were overly ambitious and lacked the means to do so, the Tiger ll 105, Panther ll and Coelian was more about just no time to further work on a project and refine them.

Their are some really nasty youtube videos of the SU-25 in game tanking multiple missile hits and flying like nothing happened. Sometimes 4+ including tanking Aim-9s.

One of the Italian DDs and one of the Cruisers.

For future additions we will most certainly see something like H-39 which had its keel layed, Project 26 a few of which were under various states of construction before the Germans invaded and potentially even Montana not that the US needs it anyhow.

The only part of the Krondstadt that isn’t real is the timeline in which the Soviets wanted it to be built in with their industry (or lack thereof) while simultaneously building a bunch of cruisers that already stretched their existing naval industry to their extreme and 4 battleships (Pr.26) that were far more an unrealistic design than Krondstadt would have been.

Krondstadt was going to get built it would have just taken far longer and required them to relearn skills that were lost during the civil war and the purges.

(Which they did in a way, just after the war but that’s a moot point)

Time really wasn’t the only issue they had, the Soviets by all reports simply weren’t able to build ships that size, as was evident with the Sovetsky Soyuz class ships as well.

Just typical Soviets posturing and promising more than they can deliver, Stalin being a megalomaniac and the usual shenanigans, so not much has changed there.

But no problem to just implement this 40.000 of dreams and wishful thinking, but we cannot have a Maus because it’s magically too difficult to balance or an entire wooden mockup of a Flakpanzer isn’t good enough for the oh so high standards of Warthunder.

At least you can make a half decent argument for the Panther ll and Tiger ll 105 primarily because Gaijin created fantasy models of them, but if you can magic up a Krohnstadt we could have had realistic version of said vehicles.

Construction of the first four ships was plagued with difficulties as the Soviet shipbuilding and
related industries were not prepared to build such large ships.
Stalin’s naval construction program was more ambitious than the shipbuilding and armaments industries could handle

Soviet armor plate plants proved incapable of producing plates of thicker than 230 mm which forced the decision to replace cemented plates thicker than 200 mm (7.9 in) with ones with less resistance in November 1940. The plants tended to compensate by making the thicker plates harder, but this often made them more brittle and large numbers did not pass the acceptance tests.

The largest warships built in the Soviet Union prior to 1938 were the 8,000-metric-ton (7,874-long-ton) cruisers, and even they had suffered from a number of production problems, but the Soviet leadership appeared to ignore the difficulties encountered in the construction.

Sovetskaya Belorussiya (Советская Белоруссия–Soviet Belorussia) was laid down 21 December 1939 at Shipyard Nr. 402 in Molotovsk, but construction was suspended in mid-1940 when it was discovered that 70,000 [rivets] used in her hull plating were of inferior quality.

Sovetskaya Rossiya (Советская Россия–Soviet Russia) was laid down on 22 July 1940 in [Shipyard Nr. 402] in [Molotovsk]. After the end of the war she was only 0.97% complete

They have said many times, ships have to follow different rules because ships don’t have prototypes like planes and tanks do and so instead they use “keel laid down” as their criteria.

Is Kronstadt as it is in game now unrealistic? Probably. Could they soften that rule later? Sure, anything could happen. But at the moment having A Kronstadt of some kind in game was permitted in the “rules” they’d previously established for ships before they added it. Because ships don’t have prototypes, so the line against paper vehicles has to be different for ships.

I would much rather they upgraded vehicles with more accurate versions as part of their undoing of earlier mistakes. Swap out all Panther 2s in game with a new 75mm one matching the museum copy and reoffer it to all. If you own it now and it’s a downgrade, too bad, so sad. For some, that may not be possible.

I do think it’s interesting that no one ever complains about missing out on the XP-38 or bubble canopy P-47s in the same way, which were similarly removed for realism reasons, as these German fake tanks.

To add to @Danzig_A1 post there are also Z-46 and Z-47 which also weren’t completed and one of Russian light cruisers also wasn’t completed but in that case it is basically identical to the finished predecessors.

The biggest difference between the German fakes (and some Japanese vehicles) is that the Kronstadt or the Sovetsky Sojuz aren’t unrealistic designs which couldn’t work and these Russian projects were actively pursued and ordered.
Whereas KT105 was just barely design study and P2 project was abandoned (but I wouldn’t be opposed to the 75 prototype), same applies to Ho-Ris which were based on design which was later dropped later IIRC.

Aren’t unrealistic?

Ordering something you cannot produce is anything but realistic if you ask me, I could design my own ship with anything on it that I want, no matter how unrealistic or unfeasible, as long as I can get some sort of keel down I can get it in the game.

A Z-46 or Z-47 weren’t completely insane and over the top designs beyond German capabilities, just slight upgrades over existing ships like the Z23 that are clearly evidence that Germany could produce these ships and realistically would have, all

Entirely different world for the Krohnstadt as the Soviets have not proven to be even remotely capable of producing anything in the same universe as it, the Krohnstadt being 5 times larger as their largest ship.

Not to mention the Krohnstadt isn’t merely filler in the naval tree, a Z-46 and Z-47 hardly impact the game, as where the Krohnstadt is amongst the best ship in the entire game .

But you would go as far to say the German tanks are unrealistic? A Panther chassis that exists and was used and a 88mm that exists and was used or a Coelian that had an entire mockup and could easily have been built are the unrealistic things here?

The KT105 isn’t any more a design study than the Krohnstadt, the former was at least able to be built if they had wanted to as Germany clearly didn’t lack the engineering ability to create these things, circumstances obviously weren’t’ in their favor to further develop these things nor would they benefit from such a design.

The way Gaijin implemented them is what is unrealistic, but quite franky I’m always baffled how much people care, they’re not some crazy out of this world design that bring anything new to the game.

XP-38 and P-47s don’t offer much value in the game, and they both got near identical replacements instead of just being removed from the game, the Panther ll, KT 105 and Coelian were added to fill a gap and after being removed left the same gap they were meant to fill in the first place.

You have many times before, on this forum and the previous, said you have no problem with German HVAP on Panzer IIs and SPAAs even though there was zero chance that could ever be produced in those quantities in real life. All those times, you said “realism doesn’t matter” if respecting realism made German players worse off. I’m sorry, but that really seems to be your only consistent principle here, to be honest.

I even gave you a chance just now there to say American players should also get their XP-38 back, in solidarity, and you said, nah it fine, they can remove any of the US vehicles, you don’t mind. So, I think we’ve clearly defined your actual position now, if we hadn’t already. Clarifying.

There is a significant difference between things that never existed and starting to limit ammo availability in WW2, which is complete and utter nonsense in a game that completely avoids historical matchmaking of any kind and never models any of those things, not to mention the amount of prototype vehicles in game that do not exists in more than 1 or 2 prototypes but can appear by the dozen in game, so the idea to limit HVAP based on randomly picked a moment in time is again, complete and utter nonsense and unreasonable.

If you believe that is even remotely the same thing as a Krohnstadt, there is no point in talking about it.

And why should the American players get their XP-38 back? Why are you completely ignoring my answer and just reducing it to ’ you didn’t say to give it back ’ so you can create this ‘gotcha’ moment?

Like I said, these planes got a replacement, you get the YP-38 and the P-47 got replaced as well, nor did they fill up a gap in the first place so it’s not the same situation to begin with.
What vehicles did we get to replace the Panther ll, the Tiger ll 105, the Coelian and the Maus? Oh right, nothing, nothing at all.

They can remove any of the US vehicles, you don’t mind

If you’re going to create such absurd strawman I will never bother to engage with you in a discussion in the future, this is pathetic.
