After some research I have discovered Britain operated its own Sabres; The sabres Britain operated were not copy and paste from the USA though, the British operated the Canadair Sabre Mk.2 and Mk.4. The Canadair sabre had a few changes from the usual USAF F-86 Sabre, notably it adopted the Avro Canada Orenda engine, these engines led to better climb rates, furthermore with larger 6-3 wings the Canadair Sabre would have better high altitude Performance (some modifications would have Slats, increasing low speed handling).
Another Notable British sabre was the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) Sabre otherwise known as the Avon Sabre, this variant had two distinct modifications. Firstly the CAC Sabre was fitted with a Rolls-Royce Avon engine, this new engine provided around 2,300 more LBF than US Sabres; the installation of the new engine had a new air intake to accommodate it. Secondly instead of .50 Cals the CAC sabre was armed with 30mm ADEN cannons, these provided a much harder punch.
