I was doing some analysis on the Planned BR Changes for August 2026, found here:
[ Planned BR Changes - August 2026 ]
There a few alarming issues with it, many good changes but I need to bring to light some that should not be changed:
(NOTE: THIS RELATES TO REALISTIC BATTLES, AIR AND GROUND RB)
AIR:
(revert) F-14 IRIAF: The F-14 IRIAF should not be raised in BR, primarily due to: (1) The radar is old and can’t compete with jets 14.0 to 14.7 since it will be put at 13.7 in Air RB, it is challenging enough at its current BR. (2) the F-14 airframe cannot compete with top-tier jets, and (3) the primary reason it keeps getting pushed up in BR is the Fakour 90, but the big problem with the Fakour 90 being at such a high BR is how easy it is for opponents to notch/chaff this missile. Despite the Fak 90’s speed, it misses so easily that even though it now has 6 of these missiles you’d be lucky to get 1 or 2 hits (if you’re lucky, and usually getting 0) before leaving the fight and returning to the airfield. Pair that with the old radar and it’s just not set up for facing top tier.
(consider) F-16 Block 5/10/Netz: You should have lowered the BR of the F-16 Block 5/10 including Israeli Netz and Netz Mod because they are stuck with non-IRCCM IR missiles and no SARH missiles, and they don’t get IRST radar, so if they attempt to use radar the enemies always start launching flares, and the missiles get 1-flared including the Python 3. Sure, the jet is fast and maneuverable but the missiles are near useless at 12.3 BR, it needs to be reduced to 12.0 or even 11.7 BR. If it got missiles with IRCCM then the current BR would make sense, but it doesn’t.
(revert) A-4N Ayit: Despite the Ayit having a more powerful engine, the A-4 airframe in general lacks maneuverability and bleeds its speed way too fast. I don’t think having 2x AIM-9D justifies a raise in BR. Once this jet bleeds its speed it is stuck as an easy kill. Meanwhile the Yak-38M isn’t getting a BR increase and it gets 4x R-60. Putting the Ayit at 10.0 means it will face R-60M all-aspect.
(keep) Reducing the BR of the MiG-21 2000 (israel) is a GOOD thing, keep this change. Because, similar to the Netz, it lacks BVR missiles and it only gets Python 3 that are non-IRCCM.
(keep) Reducing the Vautour (all variants) is good, at least from my experience they are easy to take out when facing them, since they don’t get any countermeasures.
(keep) Wyvern S4, because it gets air spawn mainly.
TANKS:
(revert) XM1 Chrysler: The Chrysler should be kept at 9.0, but reluctantly. Despite it having good speed, the armor is very thin, even when compared to the XM1 GM which has a larger area of composite or spaced armor. The M735 ammo has only 290mm pen, and when compared to 9.3 tanks which get DM33, 3BM22, slpprj m/90c, the XM1’s M735 shell just doesn’t compare. It also has noticeably reduced spall when it penetrates, making the user have to aim a bit more carefully. In addition, the visual model shows an extra plate on the top-side of the turret face but is not included on the damage model, so the armor is still thin there. If the Chrysler is put at 9.3 that’s going to mean it will commonly face 10.0 and 10.3 tanks which the M735 shell won’t do well against (T-72AM TURMS-T and T-72B for example).
(revert) Leo 1A5 (multiple variants): These tanks were doing well at 9.3 what’s the reason for reducing them to 9.0? And I’m an owner of the Germany Leo 1A5 and the Swedish Leo 1A5NO2 and even I don’t understand this BR change. My k/d ratio on the Leo 1A5NO2 is 916 kills to 378 deaths (2.9 to 1 ratio). Because it has DM33 shell with 420mm pen I don’t see how this tank is considered “worse” than the XM1 Chrysler, rather I see it as being better. I have used both vehicles extensively.
(revert) T26E5: As a Germany player, I don’t see why this tank is being raised from 6.7 to 7.0 BR. The ammo and the armor both don’t justify a raising in BR. I can 1-shot these so easily, through the MG port, the gun mantlet, or the lower hull. Its best shell, the M82 shot, only has 183mm pen and that’s not viable at 7.0 to 8.0 BR. As a player who’s faced this tank countless times yea I don’t think it need to be raised. In fact I’d argue the Tiger II 105mm needs to go back to 6.7 due to its really long reload and the large ammo racks in the rear of the turret.
(keep) Even though I would enjoy the British 75mm tanks with updated M61 shot at their current BR’s, I do logically agree with their raising in BR by 1 step purely because I know the effectiveness of M61 with explosive filler.
(keep) Returning the Tiger II P’s (aka the “Tiger II (Nr.1-50)” and Kungstiger) to 6.3 BR is a good thing, because the 100mm thick turret armor is so easy to penetrate even with Russian T-44 or US 90mm’s with M82 shot. The cupola area is a large weakspot and makes for easy 1-shots.
(keep) Lowering BR of the M1296 Dragoon is good, like what the EFV faces, its only weapon is the Bushmaster 30mm which has limited effectiveness, mixed with light armor.
