there are OP things, there are no OP things, I think the cl13b is OP for a subsonic, I think the swift F7 is OP for an 8.7, and there are planes that are simply bad. The G91R4 on it’s own is just a minor inconvenience, but when there is 14 of them coming at you from every angle then there is a problem. It’s not like having a mig15 bis and a scimitar, a 104 and a 106 try attacking you. You can dodge the scimitar, make the mig15 bis compress to furtherly overshoot you, dodge the 104 too and kill the f106 the first because it will present itself for free.

A few months ago people where complaining how bad the G.91s where, now people think they are OP???
They are already over BR’d compared to their counterparts which recently went down in BR changes

So, if the f86f-40 is at 9.0 because it has two aim9b’s, why is the g91r-4 at 8.7 despite having four? it’s not better than the f-40 sabre, but it is better than the A-4B, which also sits at 8.7 and also has only two aim9b’s.

It’s at 9.0 because it’s a strictly superior F-86F-25 in all regards except about 40kg of weight (from the slats probably) and has two decent missiles, yes.
Because the G.91 is a G.91 and not a F-86F-40, and the F-86F-40 isn’t 9.0 alone just because it has 9Bs.

Can you please provide numbers or stats about this “overpower” between the planes. Because this will give some real facts instead of personal frustration.

Well true it doesn’t increase the amount of br levels but it does make one fight vehicles with less technological difference. But I get your point.

The F-86F-40 is arguably the best dogfighting F-86 Sabre out of them all (par with maybe the German Cl-13B Mk 6)
When directly compared to the G.91 R/4, it gets + 2 x M3 .50 cal heavy machine gun for extra firepower and ammo than the Gina.
The G.91R is light, nimble, and can turn fight as well, but it can’t really do it as well as the F-86F-40, especially since it doesn’t have leading-edge wing slats like the F-86F-40 for low-speed rate fights.
The Sabre also has a much higher top speed and better overall engine thrust output.
The tradeoff for 4 x AIM-9Bs seems more than fair enough for me.
Additionally, the AIM-9Bs do significantly weigh a lot on the aircraft itself. So the G.91 R/4 is already at a performance disadvantage from the start unless they have fired off their missiles already.
