The Fw 190 D-15 is very rare aircraft / late war aircraft hard to find a good proof that exist that’s why i made this topic !
hopefully find more info about about it !

What is the Fw 190 D-15?

Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-15 was a late-war prototype variant of the famous German fighter, intended as the final development of the “Dora” series. It was designed to use the Daimler-Benz DB 603 engine instead of the Junkers Jumo 213.

Fw 190 D-14 / Fw 190 D-15 what’s the different and which is better?

the Fw 190 D-15 is better because of the stronger engine some sources claim it used the DB 603 EB and some DB 603G.

it use the same guns as the Fw 190 D-14

• 2 × MG 151/20 (20 mm cannons) in the wing roots.
• 1 × MK 108 (30 mm cannon) in the nose (Motorkanone).

There were topics about these aircraft on the old forums but with that being lost I’m making this one. The planes I’m talking about are the prototype Fw 190 D-14/15 which used the DB603 engine, and the Fw 190 D-13 and Ta 152 H-1 equipped with Jumo 213EB. I think these aircraft offer the greatest potential for closing the performance gap between the top German props and the Allied superprops they have to face. But as long as gaijin doesn’t fixes the non-existent elevator authority of the D-12 i will not even consider using a Dora again.

I was inspired by reading the various threads about 190s - and felt somehow the need to fly the D-12 for 5 matches. I was almost instantly reminded why i stopped playing it: Lack of elevator authority. I mean the high alt performance is fantastic and kept me alive, but when i can’t perform a dive and bring guns on target as my elevator is not working i can energy trap people the whole day - without consequences for enemy players.
