Are you telling me you don’t want a blow pipe armed fox? Would be funny seeing a Sam at some stupid br like 6.7.
It would be funny to have, and fighting props would probably be all it would be good at. But as per the rules of the British TT, it would be 8.3
Oh hold on, it would be perfect for helis tho, maybe that’s why we don’t have it. We would simply be far too powerful against the Russian helis for gaijins liking. Gaijin is scared to add the blowpipe, confirmed.
Its possible, either that or gaijin doesnt believe britain can build any usable vehicles
If you have any source material/images, 100% go make a thread for it ^^
I’ll see what I can do tomorrow. Although any pointers about dos and dont would be nice. Never made a suggestion before.
Fox 25
This is a basic vehicle fitted with a united defence (fmc corporation) 25mm electric drive turret and McDonald Douglas 25mm 242 chain gun. This one man turret is also fitted with a 7.62 machine gun coaxially mounted. The turret weights 1409kg (1.62 tons) and a minimum of 250 rounds of 25mm ammunition is carried. Specifications of the vehicle remain the same except for the following.
Crew - 2
Combat weight - 6.29 tonnes
Length - 4.22m
Width - 2.13m
Hight - 2.23m
I’m not sure if the sources I’ve found are first hand and classified so I’ll be checking tomorrow. But from what I could find I think I’ll have to use the bovington archives for pictures and any more information.
Also you’ll be glad to know that the swing fire armed ferret is also in these docs, it could only carry 4 swing fires tho so I don’t think it would work well in wt.
Anyone know anything about the “Opto-Electronic Limited M36 E3 periscope sight” is. As it says it has an intergalactic imaging intensification device and I’m not sure if that’s thermal or simple night vision. It’s the sight for the fox 25.
The original planned apfsds was cancelled, but in the 2000s there was another developed and given an official British MoD L number (annoying the same as the gun, L21A1) it’s literally Rhienmetall’s 30x173 APFSDS (like on the puma), in a 30x170 brass case, with the upgrade to 40 CTA the british gov didn’t consider it a needed purchase, but something just in case.
Sup guys here are some useful first-hand sources for the fox, that being a fox sales brochure and a pair of fox service manuals dated from 1986. The sales brochure is from the early 80s and all include the fox after it received its engine limitor which reduced its engine from 195hp 5000rpm to 190 hp at 4500 rpm. This was done for two reasons, the first was to allow it to use cheaper quality fuel, the second was to reduce over revving and damage to the gearbox, thus extending its service life.
Much appreciated.
I made a suggestion about the fox 25, however it’s no longer pending but I can’t seem to find it. Is this them checking it over or has something gone wrong. I did want to edit it as I only just noticed that I put in the photos incorrectly and it caused it to go off your screen due to the size being too big.
I’ve been using the fox a lot and I agree if the fox gets moved up to 8.0 it will become useless at its own BR. however, I have to say I’ve gotten close to nuke in the fox a couple of times at 9.0 because of all the paper vehicles. it currently has strength in being unrivalled in speed at a BR which people don’t expect flanking but taken far away from its BR is strong from its decent fire rate and small stature
Like any new thing. I’d give it a month and people will have adapted to it. I remember people complaining about the Harrier Gr7 when It was added and then after F16s were added. No one complained anymore, except the Gr7 players who were outclassed, but they didn’t matter
i dont think there will be any adaption. this is low tier german mains we are talking about
This is true, and any Brit thats made it to BR7, is probably above average in ability or at least stubborn-ness
very much so. I’ve been trying to convince a lot of the guys I play with to play Britain because of how good 7.0-7.7 is and because of how useless low tier is it will force them to improve as a player. so far I’ve gotten two of them to try it out and they are learning well
Yep, i’ve seen it said so many times before
“If you want to learn shot placement, play Britain”
could not be more truthful, on the flipside though if you want a fun easy time play low tier britain air
Yeah… Spitfires are fun. Well… When the 7.7s want to do damage
