So the base warrior triumphs again.

Should have kept the AP from the dev

I unironically get better post pen and pen overall from the bog standard warrior… Guess we gotta wait for the Ajax bros… or the Warrior CSP …sigh

I’ve got it ready to buy but I’m not playing it until it gets it’s spall liner and the atgms are fixed

It’s pretty shit TBH.

They screwed up it’s mobility so it’s… not fast. They didn’t give it the round they said they would so it’s gun is awfuil and what they did to the missiles is just tragic and stupid.

So I’ve played a few games with the Desert Warrior. It does lack mobility but once it speeds up its quite fast, the gun is pretty bad against MBT’s but even the default belt is ok against light tanks and IFV’s my only problem is post pen damage which will get worse with the APFSDS. The TOW’s aren’t as bad as I was expecting, but they are really painful if the target is moving.

Overall, I’m actually having some fun with it but the base warrior is just better, you get a better round, a more usable missile and better mobility, it might be lacking a stabiliser but I never found that to be a problem, it is a pretty stable gun.

To make it a good vehicle rather than a mediocre one just give it M919, the extra 10mm of pen would make it worth taking over the base warrior and it’s not like they haven’t given rounds to vehicles using the same gun. cough ariete with DM53 cough

Hey @Gunjob,

Sorry to bother you, but would it be worth bug reporting that the standard Warrior IFV sight should be stabilised? The main armament isn’t stabilised, but the sight was in order to permit observation whilst on the move. Is this something the devs would consider? I don’t believe they have previously is all.

It would certainly be nice if the sight was fixed but the crosshairs moved.

This is similar to the AMX 30 series of tanks i think, stabilised sight but the gun is fixed, the fcs determines the perfect time to fire making firing on the move extremely difficult. Chances of Gaijin adding a feature like a stabilised sight would be extremely low imo.

AMX 30 doesn’t possess such a feature. It is a myth that is spread around much too often. However, the AMX 30 ACRA is in a similar position to the Warrior. The sight is stabilised and the missile is laser guided; therefore, it’s able to accurately fire on the move. But this hasn’t been implemented previously.

Interestingi didn’t know that, now let me play my uno reversal card… I did say i think XD lol but seriously seeing your other research I’ll take your word as fact.

New British Army shows that the Ajax seems to have some decent gun depression

Do we have any hard stats for that?

Elevation: -10 to +75 degrees

i remember when i just got it and i kept sniping helis out of the air with the atgms while on the move (if you fire them you can guide them in while moving btw). Shame what theyve done to them, makes the vehicle just feel usless at 8.3…

Looks like the RARDEN APDS is going to get nerfed relatively soon.

Gaijin says the reduction in penetration will be “notable” against flat and angled armour.

Perhaps its time to start pushing for the Warrior to receive APFSDS otherwise its going to be useless

I would try and argue that it could see a downtier, but we all know it wont get one along with 8.0 not even being all that great anyway.

Just a cool picture I thought rude not to share. Nothing classified, just a cool looking Warrior picture that people may like.
