Sorry to bother you, but would it be worth bug reporting that the standard Warrior IFV sight should be stabilised? The main armament isn’t stabilised, but the sight was in order to permit observation whilst on the move. Is this something the devs would consider? I don’t believe they have previously is all.
This is similar to the AMX 30 series of tanks i think, stabilised sight but the gun is fixed, the fcs determines the perfect time to fire making firing on the move extremely difficult. Chances of Gaijin adding a feature like a stabilised sight would be extremely low imo.
AMX 30 doesn’t possess such a feature. It is a myth that is spread around much too often. However, the AMX 30 ACRA is in a similar position to the Warrior. The sight is stabilised and the missile is laser guided; therefore, it’s able to accurately fire on the move. But this hasn’t been implemented previously.
Interestingi didn’t know that, now let me play my uno reversal card… I did say i think XD lol but seriously seeing your other research I’ll take your word as fact.
i remember when i just got it and i kept sniping helis out of the air with the atgms while on the move (if you fire them you can guide them in while moving btw). Shame what theyve done to them, makes the vehicle just feel usless at 8.3…
Was just looking for sources on the APFSDS rounds for the Rarden 30mm on the Warrior, just interested if anyone here knows of such sources, given the mention of the nerf to 30mm APDS rounds, which I’m still unsure if they will go ahead with it or not, and the fact that we could get APFSDS belt for the rarden possibly anyways
There’s one APFSDS for the Rarden, the L21A1 APFSDS made by Rhinmetall, it’s basically their 30x173mm APFSDS (PMC287 etc), recased into a 30x170 case. Pretty much intented for export only.
is it just me, or is the Warrior just completely missing a front towing eye, one of the FPE pull covers and one of the bolts on the driver hatch is really tall.
Edit:
I just made a FV510 Warrior mega report on the bug report page. Feel free to check it out and add anything to the comments if you so wish! thanks.
This bug report was meticulously crafted along side someone who is in the military, and actively operates and repairs them; so hopefully it will be good enough for the snail. Any additional info and sources would be great!
