FV4030/3 Loader impailed by round

I dont think there should be an APFSDS round in the loader NECK devs…

Once again another rushed tank that isnt modelled right.

L15A5 being identical to L15A3 is also an absolute joke.

Nothing rushed about this. It’s just Gaijin chose to use a sitting model instead of a standing one, which doesn’t matter.
I doubt you or I know anything about L15A5 in comparison to L15A3, so commenting on it is reckless.

where the loader is, its the ready rack aswell. rn its only 3 rounds when it should be 6 going off of the size of the rack

The L15A3 is a copper cobalt cored APDS round that was used when the mk1 and 2 chieftains were about, and was initially used on the Mk3 until replaced by the tungsten alloyed cored L15A5 found, which for all intents and purposes was used until they manufactured L23A1 in 1983/84.

EDIT: just to clarify,I am not saying L15A5 is substantially better or it’s some wonder round at all. However it being a direct carbon copy of L15A3 is just ridiculous as IRL it suprassed it and became the standard AP for the Chieftain.

It has none of the ammunitions it was tested with for Irans use, hollow charge and HE for example, someone posted on the original Shir 2 announcement page the reports then made a bug report last i checked.

Lastly as far as I am aware there are issues with the first stage ammo size as well.

@Jarms I believe it is has access to a lot of the Cheiftain manuals, If they include munitions though I sadly do not know, Im currently searching for ballistic reports from both rounds but it’s a bit of a sift so just bare with me.

EDIT got access to the book, “Chieftain Main battle Tank 1965-2003”

it references the ammunitions used in the royal ordenance L11 cannon from models A1 to A5.

This screenshot contains the missing ammunitions we have.
also shows the L23 standard is not a round, and L23A1 is.

However to access the ballistics reports of individual rounds, I must purchase the book.

Another Gaijin’s doomed decision which was made in a rush.
It might not drastically impact the gameplay though.

If anything it’s a buff to survivability, in reality it’s probably no change.

A buff? How? It means two ammo racks are closer albiet minutely but closer together none the less.

This reducing the chance a round misses it.

Douht it would influence the survivability, so hardly would say its a buff.

My point was it’s not a nerf, cause it isn’t.
It’s a model decision. They should make more models to use, potentially shorter and thinner models.
That’s not an indication of “rushed” though since the models are universal assets.

I mean a loader with a round inside them is quite an oversight.

It isnt a nerf or buff rightly enough.

My point with it is that we are seeing more models with issues, the dutch leopard 2s are an example, the cr3 td as well.
