FV107 Scimitar: Single-Edged Sword!

dont even get me started on some people in that thread bro.

id like to think im in a rather ok spot to have a say on its balancing considering a huge amount of my hours in this game has been using them.

906 is a super glass cannon, its heat rnd is bad, APHE kinda requires careful aiming at that br.

Is it was more survivable, id agree.

I’ll discuss it more here:

I’m considered a “very good player” according to statshark, and I have a 2.0 KDr in the fox, and a 3.3 in the conq mk.2

Also lol, funnily enough people have such a grudge against me I have 2 downvotes on my statshark profile 😂

with how fast my K/D in scimitar has recovered from the initial 0.2 to above 1 ever sice i got the FCS removed and a wave of other fixes, especially after the neutral turn and brakes fix it wont be long until my scimitar is very firm in K/D, especially as the XM800T spam is far less now (still should move up to 9.0) so im not hard countered too frequently until i face a maus or the rare sight of a competent major nation player

Just imagine it:
Scimitar Mk.2, Scimitar BGTI, Scimitar 235, Striker, Scorpion 90, Scorpion Kastet, Storm(er) 90, Stomer FVT-925T, CV-21, Scorpion S530.

shame the limit on crew slots is 10, so room for variants is limited

Don’t suppose you happen to have a copy of AESP 5858-D-110-741 or AESP 5855-D-110-711, do you?

what are their normal titles?

They’re the CES (Complete Equipment Schedule) and ISPL (Illustrated Spare Parts List) for ESPIRE
I saw they’re selling copies of it on vintagemvmanuals / greenmachinesurplus where they sell various parts and manuals for people restoring surplus military vehicles, and wondered if that might be where you collect manuals from.

I have a CES for scimitar yes but it appears to be for the basic scimitar.

one problem, its from 1999 and has stamps from 2015. as its not in the 50 year rule and the MoD didnt get back to me on if its declassified i can NOT use it.

Yeah, these copies are nominally from the 2006 AESPs (though a ESPIRE technical description AESP from when it was introduced in 1999, is also listed as available). So figured these would probably not be kosher for bug reports if I purchased them, without contacting the MoD for their release status.

A shame since I can see from the thumbnails it shows the turret layout with ESPIRE installed. Will be difficult to prove conclusively to Gaijin that the LEP doesn’t have the old L2A1 SS100 NV telescope installed otherwise.

I’ve got a photo of the empty housing on the BGTI Scim, and HCR published a YouTube video showing inside the turret where we can see BGTI is too big to have the L2A1 behind it the way it’s installed under the No.52 day sight on the Sabre, the orignal Scimitar, and Fox. Which would also cover the Scimitar Mk.2 since MSPIRE is known to have the same gunner station as BGTI. It’s just imagery of the ESPIRE periscope fit that’s elusive

i know of green machine surplus, when it gets to such modern manuals its getting quite iffy though.

ive seen one too. Do hope the old passive night sight is closed on the models when they are added
