paste imgur urls into “google lens” (what used to be search by image) and it’ll show you a preview of the image anyway. Making a mockery of the government’s efforts to stop image hosts potentially showing adult content

I just have my set to belgium or austria (Cause its close by and normally at the top of the alphabetical country lists lmao)

I’m guessing some will be event/prem/squadron vehicles, no way gj dumps all them in the regular tree right?

Super exciting though, does the BGTI get an LRF?

BGTI will be the same as Warrior, which was also equipped with BGTI.
IRL both ESPIRE (on the LEP) and BGTI had a laser rangefinder.
Gunnery on all Scimitars was manually laying the gun with hand cranks, but on BGTI when you lased stuff, the gunner’s reticle deflected to indicate necessary aiming adjustments for ballistic drop.
As far as I know the earlier SPIRE/ESPIRE was the same sort of fire control procedure, having been based on the Hughes/Raytheon HIRE gunnery system for LAV-25. However I haven’t got the same knowledge of ESPIRE gunnery as I do BGTI.
MSPIRE in Scimitar 235 and Mk.2 uses the gunnery system from BGTI
Note, the 2009 parliament publication called this version ESPIRE. However the system delivered 2009-2011 was actually called MSPIRE in service. ESPIRE (Enhanced SPIRE) was the mainline thermal imaging upgrade for Scimitars in the Formation Reconnaissance role since the late 90s in LEP, that was given some refinements over the HIRE/SPIRE sight UOR’d earlier in the 90s for use in the Balkans.

If I had to guess:

  • Sabre as event.
  • LEP or BGTI as either TT or Premium respectively.
  • Mk.2 as a 8.7/9.0 with APFSDS foldered with Badger.

Just need some Scorps to make an “oops all CVRT” line up

Im dreading having to convince gaijin that these sight systems dont disable a RARDEN gun and is just a sight because it really screwed the scimitar we currently have in the early days

will go perfectly with my “oops all cromwell” and “oops all firefly” lineups

Many vehciles can’t fire when their optics module is destroyed, isn’t not localized to simply the fox / schim.

i know its a widespread issue.

Im just very much a CVR focused guy. I own more books and manuals related to the alvis scorpion family and daimler fox than the rest of my library lmao.

At least i can prove that the gun isnt fired by a computer very easily. RARDEN doesnt work like that at all.

one less vehicle with this issue is better than nothing

What

Lmao. I thought you tried to say I was Alvis / Alvis was me.

Irony that his / my user names equate to the tanks manufacturer, and the tank. I legit had to look that up.

no no the CVRT platform was produced by the automaker Alvis. I know who you are far too well to make that mistake

and yes i own a LOT of manuals and brochures related to CVRT/W

ive done every single accepted bug report for the fox and scimitar other than the turret rotation nerf (there was insufficient information for a report to realistically have ever been accepted) and the scimitar/striker brake force report (but i did provide the information to create that report)

CVRT is my thing in WT and im proud of how much ive gotten fixed on them.

Scimitar was unusable in the beginning, it would have struggled at 6.7 let alone 7.7, now its very well modelled and perfectly balanced. Need to find info on the armour thickness as its very incorrect at the moment but I am going to bovingdon tank museum in a couple weeks with a tape measure

(should note the armour changes would almost certainly not be large enough to warrant BR changes, only the turret face will see significant improvement, russian HMGs will almost certainly shred the poor thing still)

I can’t tell if you mean that in a good or bad way…

that fox thread directly after the turret rotation speed got halved making it go up before winrate stabilisation

call it

Tbf the fox was owning the whole 7.3 - 8.3 br range. That is undeniable.

You cannot fault me for seeking balance, and not you, but the other brit mains who quite literally emboldened me to work harder on my crusade to get that bumped in br, because they told me I was incorrect, consistently belittled me, and so on.

Yet, I have the stats, and had the proof necessary to deem it worthy of a br increase. I still don’t mind playing the fox post nerf to this day.

Hate me if you like, it wasn’t personal.

it was absolutley yes. the thread was just very bad timing which has now made a previously fun vehicle be in an extremley poor spot considering the extreme compression it now faces.

I have a near 60% winrate in the fox and scimitar. this isnt really from the vehicle itself but because im playing a light vehicle correctly and being a team player. realistically i could pull off near the exact same thing in a harry hopkins in fact I have several times taking it to 6.0 to hunt m18 hellcats.

me neither, I make it work and bully top tier vehicles in them frequently. couple weeks ago i kicked a fuji to death frontally in a scimitar and proceeded to chase him across the map to finish them off.

Id do the same for a LOT of undertiered and overperforming russian kit (obj 906 and BMPs) but theres already enough threads on them and gaijin isnt gonna listen to russian nerfs

I mean they do nerf Russian stuff all the time.
But if you wanna talk shop over the bmps / ovj.906 you know what thread I made about proposed br changes that it can be discussed in. Ngl tho, I think the obj.906 is balanced, it can be 7.92’d frontally lol. Its strong, but not breaking the bank.

That thread wouldn’t have become so popular if the far leaning “your wrongers” never showed up lol.

im just waiting for them to fix the T64s armour as its currently far too powerful, L15a3 should defeat it but thats not the case rn

low profile, with good shells. most importantly its mobile with a stabiliser when lots of stuff still doesnt, main reason why the RARDEN lights including the LEP and mk2 scimitar really could never be higher than 8.0 is because they have no stabiliser. yes even with good thermals, I wholeheartedly thint thermals are overrated.

certainly worth balance discussions on a lot of light vehicles overall. so many are both very overtier and just as many are undertiered
