FV107 Scimitar: Single-Edged Sword!

lol,

The RARDEN in my opinion is best used as a precision rifle.

Slow rate of fire and slow turret traverse it’s got good punch though.

Is there any data for the accuracy of the RARDEN irl?

Yes

Yep I’ve tested it in game compared to some sources I found.

The general claim is 1 meter groupings at 1km.

It’s 3 times less precise than it should be.

You should be able to load into test drive and hit the little IR dish on the T-64 with every round.

Has anyone bug reported it?

Will be not a bugged.

why? I thought they accepted that kind of stuff

lol

I reckon they’ll say it’s wrong or pass it as a suggestion and ignore it forever on.

Also I must ask, how much are the Rarden’s ap shells underperforming? Do they need more pen? Less damage or vice-versa?

They need less dispersion

I saw that but heard somewhere that it has less pen than it should, might have been you but I really can’t remember

The only source I’ve seen says it’s performing as it should.

Considering the sheer amount of reports on the Scimitar, someone should create a Chally 2 style thread to organise and track these reports. Such that bugs can be reported more efficiently than just linking them in this announcement thread.

I guess the 2 part thread about Cr2 does not exist.

Wdym? Isn’t there 2 parts of the CR2 forum “series”?

I think you’ve misread me.

I was meaning we should create a similar style thread to that of the Challenger 2 which you have helpfully linked above, relating to the vehicles stat’s, as well as a list of reports and their status, but for the Scimitar instead of the Challenger 2.

As far as I am aware, most of the reports for the Scimitar are just being linked here, which makes it harder to go though and see what exactly is wrong with the modelling, or missing features, etc.

Hah, I didnt see that one, oh well. Thanks for linking it here anyway.

I think the drop off on pen is too high as it drops off quicker than any other round but thats because it still uses the old apds damage calculator giving it slightly better close range pen. So, depends on what you deem more important, range or close range pen.
