Fuso is a one trick pony. It is VERY GOOD at one task, due to its powerful SAP rounds (in terms of explosive filler). Thus, it slaughters any cruisers with ease.
And I do have to praise it’s ability to survive shell room damage.
But that is where the trick ends. When uptiered to 7.7, it does not fight many cruisers, and rarely if so.
It can barely penetrate many battleships or even lower BR battle cruisers (kron and scharn which relies on ammo elevator fire).
In additionally, the armor is really poor. The reason I survived so many shell room denotation is precisely because it’s armor is bad.
I had to fight a Fuso (myself also playing Fuso) and wow, it was easy to penetrate it and shoot up the shell rooms. It is not bulletproof against its own poor guns, and we all know type 91 diving properties are not simulated.
