BlueArrow-11/BA-11 is not pure MMV, it has a transparent nose cone meaning at least MMV+LASER.

most guiding laser are also IR band, use coated glasses can also benefits the seeker in cheaper way
HJ-12 on the right is more like coated glass though
Could just be different coating or multilayer coating.

i was realy hoping here that the chineese comunity would be a bit more active aswell but it does not seem like they are doing that much
Apparently there is better TY-90 in trials at the moment (the PL-90A).
Apparently could be mounted on Z-9W, Z-9WA, Z-19, Z-10, and Z-10ME:
Supposedly has improved fins and larger motor, so better range, G Overload, and maximum speed.
Maybe it would be nice to have these added to Z-10ME?

It would be nice indeed ( for Z10ME ), sadly for balance sake, it should wait until the other tech trees also have something comparable for anti air added to their top tier helicopters.

I can see a 12.7 maybe 13.0 AH-1Z with access to JAGMs, Aim-9Xs, and possibly LDIRCM
Not sure about the other helis.
Top Tier Heli stingers should have proxy and 22G overload though.
Ka-52M would be a nice addition for USSR if the Mi-28NM isn’t enough 😅

currently, it won’t be a problem, the seeker’s limit will limit it’s performance, only in some special condition it will be better than old TY-90.
and actually it’s used on YITIAN air defence system

It probably won’t change the long-range capabilities since TY-90s typically lock within 7/8km of an incoming afterburning Jet (which would get within 6km by the time the TY-90 gets close), but PL-90A would probably be very convenient for rear-aspect launches at jets approaching the 6km max range.
It might also be useful to counter aircraft that just kinematically defeat TY-90s front-aspect via rolling, and maybe the close-range vertical maneuvers that exploit its minimum effective range.
These ‘special’ conditions are quite common from my experience, though the seeker limitation would still negate the missile from locking onto front-aspect pre-flaring aircraft.
Also shouldn’t the tech-tree (non-premium/non-export) TY-90s be called PL-90s?
well, just don’t mind about PLA‘s name. there is also a name of AKK-90. as long as it’s not totally wrong

AKK-90, should also be recoloured into the standard green (like AKD9/10) for the domestic Z-10/9WA/19
I think that web source is the first time I’ve seen it be called “PL-90”

They’re basically copy-paste IR JAGMs.
My issue with them is that they’re only for the outerpylons.
I would love to be able to take 8x AKD-10s and 8x Blue Arrow 11s, but this unfortunately isn’t possible.
Still can mix with CM-502 or take TY-90 without sacrificing A2G tho
