Just had a full mig-23ml/mld team playing versus IRIAF’s, F-20A etc… Gaijin are you ok? Fair gameplay you say?

Enemy team had a P-38E, so don’t complain. lol
We had this discussion many times, but gaijin ignores it…
It was totally enemy’s choice to use P-38, i did not choose to play on 11.7 mig with 11.7 team versus 12.7 fakours and other much better than mig-23 planes.
Btw 1 IRIAF with 4 fakours is much more efficient than, I don’t know, 1 phantom replacing P-38.
In my opinion these uptiers and downtiers are bullshit.
GJN also thinks level 100s in Jets should fight folks in stock props. And people defend and support it for some reason.
This game is full of holes tbh…
rip
Skill Based matchmaking would be a disaster, and you can’t prevent veterans from playing lower tiers. Sadly, it’s part of the game, as infuriating as it is.
No, it would not be a disaster. The only folks claiming that are folks wanting to clobber stuff. But funny that you conflate that with Jets slaughtering props at some BRs.
It would ruin queue times, and Gaijin wouldn’t implement it in a way that is fair and fun.
just wait for the new event plane
Trust me this is better than SBMM
No, it wouldn’t, for most folks at least. And I really don’t care about shorter queues for folks literally going out of their way to try and seal club at the most biased and lopsided BR cut offs.
Said the guy who loves seal clubbing and doesn’t want to be inconvenienced.
Most the sealclubbing I do is just beating the hell out of CAS mains in a spitfire so GRB is kept clean tbf. I don’t go out of my way to sealclub often, unless I need SL so I take a mk2 centurion out to remind german mains their vehicles arent wunderwaffe
Once again, the argument of “queue times” both for BR compression and MM simply doesn’t hold up anymore, given that tons of folks are playing the game. And more would if the new player experience wasn’t miserable. People arguing “it would be bad” are arguing that way because the current setting benefits them.
Short thinking.
Bunch of players buying their way through a techtree. So entry for them is beyond props. Even now props have a longer queue time. If you split those players queue time becomes longer.
Next problem, what should be the parameters for splitting them?
Doesn’t matter which parameter, after time they become more equal because of the dividing.
It becomes a seesaw situation.
And the biggest problem I see, unexperienced players can’t learn from good players because they will never see what they are doing. So the learning curve flattens even more than today.
At what BRs do jets “slaughter” props?
Only place you get prop versus jet combat is things like the P51H, F7F, Spitfire22/24,Ta152C,G56,F8F1B (6.3, 6.7 planes), Ki84Hei.
These planes fight jets that if they turn lose all their speed, take ages to accelerate to a speed that actually surpasses the super post-war propeller aircraft. The only one that stands out as unfair to me is the Ta-152, which I do think would do better downtiered. The F4U-4 does just fine fighting Ta-152s in my experience.
There’s a few exception premium PoS like the BI, but that’s more the exception than the rule.
There’s also arguments to be made about the BRs of things like P51H and the spits being too low/too high.
“Won’t someone think of the inexperienced players!”
Inexperienced players learn NOTHING from being curbstomped by a great player. They learn primarily by fighting each other or slightly more skilled players. If I take the Ka-Chi out to farm 3-5k score per game for events the players I stomp on learn nothing from it. They just learn that the game is a waste of time and incredibly unfair.
As for queue times. Untrue, so far every game is pretty fast. And guess what? Full Uptiers especially 1.4 in Arcade aren’t games. They’re a slaughter where the people at the receiving end serve as punching bags and “filler”. They don’t participate, they are there as NPC. Doubly so at the Prop > Jet transition.
I flew my Mig23ML the other night for the first time in a while because I had been seeing in posts, YouTube where it has been REDUCED shall we say. And indeed it has, I cannot see how they can so drastically nerf a plane someone has paid good money for, changes are understandable, but wow.
I dont know man, I flew about 50 missions last night, and I do not know if it is because Im level 100, or what it is, but probably 43 out of 50 missions were straight uptiers. Four that were not, of course I was flying F16C
Ive been playing for 12 years, since Beta. I have 13.7 jets and Im not bad, not great in them. But yes, being experienced I also like to look for “planes of the moment” that have been hot rodded in updates, OP, whatever you may call them. But there we are, an experienced pilot in a Yak 3 can teach some pilots who will have good records later a lesson. Those that look at the long haul, and are not trying to play Call of Duty in the moment.
This is a game, as you know that is a process.
