People talk a lot about anti-radiation missiles. Would they be able to merely “equalize” or “once again give CAS all/almost all the cards”? I genuinely don’t know beyond planes having limited pylon space, where every pylon taken by an anti-rad is one less taken by another type of ordinance.
Awesome! Good job snail
It depends on whether SPAA players will gain sentience and learn to move when missiles are fired at them, or just stay braindead and sit in the exact same spot whole game.
Considering how all advice on the internet for using non-radar AA tells people to “move outside of your own damn spawn” and they still don’t, I don’t have much faith they will.
All we can do is give the players the tools to help themselves - then if they still get destroyed, they can only blame themselves, and the game no longer has to pay any mind to their screaming because of their own stupidity.
You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. However, you can blame that horse’s stubbornness if it proceeds to die of thirst.
Great way of putting it.
Man i love sipping on CAS tears! Maybe play tanks in a mode called ground rb, all we need to do now is make low tier less of an air rb without markers.
Bro,the forums ain’t the place to share your mental insecurities.
As soon as I get my hands on this guy so I can play smth besides 2s38 and t80ud:
You wouldnt mind this balanced vehicle, would you?
And whats funny is that there will be no mav or walleye to kill me thanks to all free strelas/osas/tunguskas sitting on my spawn.
As a CAS enjoyer from time to time, indeed CAS tears are delicious.
Glad you understand where I’m coming from. Essentially I want to see the endless cyclical nerfing of CAS weaponry stopped without any further appeasement of the crowds doing the whining that causes said nerfs. Because with the history I’ve seen here and on the old forum, I do not believe for one. second. that those folk would actually stop with the whining (and thereby also not stop threatening more collateral damage to the game at large) even IF they got their “promised land” aircraft-free game mode.
No, after 10+ years of playing victim, that mentality would find something else to scapegoat. Just people being people, not wanting to blame themselves until they are dragged to rock-bottom and forced to.
TO advocates would definitely calm down if TO was actually a thing.
It’d solve many issues at the same time and what’s even funnier, TO is extremely easy to implement due to obvious reasons.
Good Now Back to this thread everyone
CAS players: What’s wrong guys, you have your AAs to counter us in the air.
Ground players actually started spawning AAs more
CAS players: Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, Gaijin please fix as I don’t want to be countered.
I didn’t even know this one existed, seems like things are a little crazier in this one.
since we moved here and can’t reply to Ckasaron imma still post it
My guy, it is in the name “Close Air Support” their way of influencing the match outcome is removing the tanks with air to ground ordinance, that is their whole shtick, tanks gone, your team have an easier time to push and win. How skilled they are at actually influencing the match is up to each player’s skills. There is those who are dogwater and those who are a menace in CAS, if you have problem with free SPAAs that’s just skill issue
This isn’t really the same thing. The original post is much worse than in the thread that was closed and most discussion here is unproductive, consisting of either personal arguments or CAS hate without given reasoning. Also, it’s around the same date. So I don’t understand why the original thread was closed.
Threads of the same type in large quantities show an upset populous, Gaijin wants to ignore that. It may also be because it’s easier to manage one.
I will state what I said before. Create a ground only game mode, like air has, and also create a combined arms game mode, like ground is currently. So you really don’t even need to make a combined arms game mode, just rename ground and then create ground.
Everyone is happy, and we can divert our anger towards Gaijins inconsistencies, implementation of sub trees, lack of year+ old bug fixes, poor map design, and general lack of care for their entire community.
That would be too easy, not to mention no one would be playing combined mode.
I don’t think that would be entirely true, the player base for ground now would probably be split pretty evenly I think.
