Yep, it’s a bad change for everyone involved, both CAS and non-CAS. It’s just that a certain group of players sees it’s annoying for CAS, and thus supports it even though it’s directly harming them.
Let me take a look:
Etendard IVM - 9.0 plane, nothing suprising that it might suffer against + 1 B.R. vehicle.
Hunter F.58 - 10.0 plane with guided ammo that can take You out outside of LAV-AD effective range, not the plane fault someone didn’t use it well.
Mi-24V with 8x shturm that can again, take You out from 5 km with ease as flying really low protects You from LAV-AD.
The issue is that there are vehicles at that B.R. range that can take out eaisly this SPAAs.
More easy frags is hurting me in some way? Lmao
11.3 israel gets the 9.3 spaa btw
and the best spaa for intercepting, CS/SA5 doesnt even come with ahead rounds
They got kurnass and kfir c7. One has sparrow, other has python 3, both have aim9d/g. Fine aa (plus kurnass has access to 6 agm65b)
Now another problem lol if your team is full of players who went 0-2, expect half the team activate feeding mode via spawning SPAAs so the enemy team could get nuke. It’s even worse when the mission is battle mode, one of our matches today we have had 10 more tickets than the enemy team, but somehow the remaining 5 minutes our team activate feeding mode by spawning SPAAs and hodl W to the objective point and draining all the tickets to the point where we are even, and eventually give one of the enemy a nuke and we lost lol
Not spaa, just better alternatives for anti air role. Unless you are that bad and cant get enough sp even for aa loadout. Then yes, israel needs some option for 70sp so anyone, including 0/3 losers, could afford it
My point is spawning air vehicles is far too cheap to be practical, I can get in my fully loaded F-2 with like a kill and an assist, pretty early on in the match and this only gets worse with aircraft that have real ordinance on them.
I found a con with the free SPAA.
Almost nobody is spawning aircraft anymore, which makes me sad as a CAP main.
lmfao CAP? Those are well dead at the tier. They are spotted by spawn protection, cannot keep scanning spawn, have less reliable weapons, and have the same pressure from spaa as cas.
One would have a better chance with stingers than these missiles.
—separation line—
btw does anyone also find s24 to be inaccurate in battles but accurate in test flight?
i still 1 death leave tho. aint nobody wanting to use vehicles they aint collecting points for. plus, they are completely stock. maybe gaijin could throw us a bone and atleast give it a repair kit. if im shot at and i survive, my last thought is me wanting to wait for the free repair and travel at 3kmh to the nearest point. i might as well continue 1 death leaving.
Test flight/drive is really silly in general. Two particular examples is that TOWs center perfectly to your crosshairs, whilst in battles they just stay in a cone, and EEGS is perfectly accurate.
I disagree. with this statement for two reasons
- We are not limited by number of SPAA by any means. 2 expert SPAA + 4 noob free SPAA is still much more dangerous that 2 expert SPAA. If they can shoot, they are dangerous. If they distract you from expert SPAA, they are still dangerous.
- People over certain BR have exponentially more time in GRB, including all ground vehicle times. When people prepare a lineup, they definitely go for the best tanks there and SPAA is an afterthought in lineup. But they still know how to use SPAA but didn’t grind it out of pragmatism. Now they have free access to current battle BR SPAA and they will have one more fighting chance against the damn CAS who shot KH38 from 30 km away.
Note: I think it is plain wrong to say, “they are easiest to avoid now since its a bunch of newer players”. Danger of SPAA is sum of all individual ones, not average of all SPAA in the enemy team.
Just jump into the Russian Terminator. Everyone else is.
Multi-vehicle SPAA systems are far easier to eliminate than tanks.
With the introduction of anti-radiation missiles, all those free air-defense systems will become significantly more vulnerable targets.
Because the SPICE-250 has a drop speed cap, I only load four on one slot and only use them after all SPAAs are down. Flying the EF under Mach 1 is really hard.
People talk a lot about anti-radiation missiles. Would they be able to merely “equalize” or “once again give CAS all/almost all the cards”? I genuinely don’t know beyond planes having limited pylon space, where every pylon taken by an anti-rad is one less taken by another type of ordinance.
Awesome! Good job snail
It depends on whether SPAA players will gain sentience and learn to move when missiles are fired at them, or just stay braindead and sit in the exact same spot whole game.
Considering how all advice on the internet for using non-radar AA tells people to “move outside of your own damn spawn” and they still don’t, I don’t have much faith they will.
All we can do is give the players the tools to help themselves - then if they still get destroyed, they can only blame themselves, and the game no longer has to pay any mind to their screaming because of their own stupidity.
You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. However, you can blame that horse’s stubbornness if it proceeds to die of thirst.
Great way of putting it.
