I don’t believe that most autocannon only tanks could ever truly be balanced as non-spaa. You either end up like the R3 on release where it was incredibly OP, the R3 now where it’s just a decent SPAA, or a Fox/XM800T where they are too good against light tanks, but bad against armoured tanks.
Yeah man, but then the 20mm coax on the amx30 cant even take tracks off half the time now.
I blame Gaijin for making it not full AP, and making the AP hvap only. As a fun bonus, it partially blinds you when firing.
So it can’t do alot of damage against tanks, it actively hinders you when firing it, and it isn’t roof mounted or attached to the gun’s vertical traverse.

yeah its pretty damn brutal to use now adays, sure its great against paper tanks obj 906 or IKV 91s etc but god damn it used to at least take off a track, or a barrel, now cant damage anyof it
like the 20mm on the leo2k man thing is fantastically handy

Alright bud. Gaijin threw us for a loop. No one was expecting another domestic light tank this year for Britian. We already got our 1 yearly allowed light.

Yeah, it was a bit out of the blue. If only France got their dosmetic light tanks with autocannons now 😿
That aside, folk are not gonna be happy with a fox that can actually handle decent terrain. I am expecting a similar thread of sooking to this one the day after the update drops.

Most mbts can take auto cannon hits, it’s when it’s from the side that’s a problem.
The only true consistent MBT to suffer is the OF-40 and you really can’t argue that. It can be penned anywhere from 300 meters pretty much.
I know this is off topic, but I would love to know what then pen / belt is on the roof mounted 30mm on the T-72M Moderna.

Which isn’t hard to prevent, you can only get flanked if you are caught off guard/ended up in a bad situation. I don’t really have issues with autocannons vs MBTs and stuff unless I get gaijined.

Well, what’s really odd is I play on controller and don’t have this problem, I had it when I had default controls and the turning sensitivity was too high, now I don’t have that problem.
Moderna has 65mm flat, with 50% AP and 50% HE
Turm III has 53mm flat, with 50% SAP and 50% HE
AMX-30 has 57mm flat, but it uses HVAP

All can see dart slinging auto cannon lights thaf can and do frontally pen them with ease.
Only the most heavily armoured mbts at 9.3 can survive these auto cannons for more than a few seconds.
2s38, bmp2m, the swedish lights, hell even the 9.0 type 89 which i yse can frontally pen most tanks of its br.

They can add more and make them premium I don’t care, if it’s a fun vehicle I will still buy them, have vehicle is better than no vehicle.
I hope they add one for 9.0 after the mttd got moved up and leave the mk10 without a partner.
