Having just spaded the XM800 and the Fox I’d personally take the fox any day of the week. That said the xm800 is a beast of a light tank.
I do somewhat suspect that they could both go to 8.0 but tbh I think that both tanks would still be powerful at that BR even when well played.
All that being said the Fox isn’t a point and click tank you do need to know where weak points are on tanks in order to get the best out of it which is something UK mains should know all too well.
Those rat vehicles should be at br 10+ there is no reason whatsoever to be lower than that.
Then get squadmates that aren’t dumb. Simple.
Easy to counter if you have more than 2 brain cells tbh. 8.0 maybe but no way they should be higher.

Fox is the best example how op speed is (combined with an AC which at least pens tank side armors). Its just too fast and nimble for these WT maps. Wouldn’t be a problem if the gun would be as lacking as the Wiesel 20mm or the BTR one. But this pen + quick fire rate is totally sufficient to kill any tank, even at range. Just one more fun car, which makes actual tanks obsolete to play.
Its literally one of the slowest (small caliber) auto cannons in the game.

60/70 - 30 rpm (2.0 Second Reload)

Isn’t the XM800T just better than the Fox while being at the same BR?
Personally, I don’t think either are op, they’re just incredibly annoying, and they make playing lightly armoured tanks a bit of a pain.
The XM800T is effectively a better fox at the same BR. Less post pen damage, less pen, but far superior fire rate + stabilised, which will generally grant better results than the fox for far less work.
and whats really funny is that if its BR did increase it would only get stronger as the main thing the Fox struggles with more than anything else is anything well armoured. As the BR increases, things actually get more lightly armoured, especially in the sides and rear.
It’s also faster on many maps due to the tracks, while the Fox is stuck having wheels.
XM800T is just better yet I don’t see a XM800T is overpowered thread. XM800T is just running around while all of the rat car hatred is focused on the Fox.
I don’t understand this trend to make a thread and bash something British until it is nerfed.

As an offtopic thingo, why is the conqueror’s gun so rubbish? We got a 30mm with what feels like more reliability to pen and better post pen on the fox, but apparently 120mm from conq kinda rubbish.
The Fox was just the first one. It was faster and more common than the wiesel which was the only other comparable tank on release.
Trust me, I hate the XM800T.
I haven’t had a bad experience against the XM800T yet, albiet I haven’t been playing the game alot recently and even more so 7.7 when I do play the game.
It is also in the American tree, the bar to using it is through the floor. They are rarely using it properly, but every now and then there is an absolute pest.
