The game dictates that you face 7BR in any 6BR vehicle how is that balanced?
How is a British Tank with no roof MG balanced against a PE8?
What I am suggesting is a way for later Cold war vehicles to be less offensive to other vehicles from a different era and for those who love the fast moving later vehicles to be unshackled by the nasty overlap.
There is so much great stuff waiting in the wings that could be at 6BR but its possible the “WW2” issue is what stops it.
You will never make a 1945 cut off nor would I expect one but you could make one somewhere and the game may well be all the better for it.
The Centurion is/was made to kill the Tiger 2 : )
so was the Pershing etc
The better solution is one that I already mentioned above. Add BR brackets like those that are found in Sim.
take RNG uptiers and downtiers out of the equation and make it a choice.
This is the current air sim brackets. If it were to change each day. Which vehicles were good and which vehicles were bad would change each day. To continue the example vehicles above. There would be days where the Tiger II would be facing Centurions and be good and others where its facing FV4202s and Foxes and wouldnt be as good. The choice is then yours.
Also vehicles that are under-performing because they only ever saw uptiers, might instead begin to see downtiers again. Its the only fair solution and one that I think has proven itself in Sim since its introduction
You could do that then, fine. You know I respect your input genrally.
I am not here to talk Era separation as such when I would do that in an era separation thread. I am saying the game needs to move otherwise we need to give every nation the Fox. The game with its new vehicles has outgrown its old self.
However if you buff AP to what it should be the Centurion would soon be 6.7, There are ways around things. Gaijin think nothing of ramping BR up or down so what value has it really?
Imagine if Gaijins CEO said OK ,we are having Two divisions ,make it work. They would have to wouldn’t they? No good shaking your head.
But anyway ,Your Idea, My idea, Anybodies idea,we need something more to make this type of vehicle work because us Brits want the Scimitar and Scorpion : )
also ,yes those who play 6.7 are getting pig sick of it all.
Balance it with Russia lol. Irl it was IS-2s vs Tiger 1s
That also reduces the feeling of strife, and the feeling of power.
It’s great playing a full uptier and getting 1st on the team, because of skill, not playing an op tank.
Thats quite telling. Other lights like Wiesel can’t so sh** with its 20mm cannon. You just might kill very light vehicles and thats it. While the Fox at a similar BR might kills almost all targets. I’ve made the same expierience in my Wiesel. You’re fast and reach good positions…but what then? You wait for a target without any armor. Good luck. Sometimes I drive circles in a Wiesel around a medium tank, but you can’t pen a single spot. So fair.
Meanwhole Fox kills everything from ambush positions with almost the same BR. Gajin’s way to determine the right BR is rediculous. Considering the pen + speed combo Fox should be 8.7 or something. I mean Wiesel is 7.3 and does nothing and Fox is 7.7 and is the bane of everything.
That was a wasted non post ,want to go again with something intelligent an relevant?
I just played 6BR in what was mostly an uptier and the big old tanks lumbering around being picked off by smaller faster and lower 7br stuff was just boring and ridiculous .Everybody was too scared to move and had zero faith in the armour they were packing.
I jacked the tedious bollocks in after five minutes of seeing nothing and watching my team mates die to a hidden 7BR foe from the cold war.
6BR used to be a highlight now its 1940s vs 1960s ,like fighting an alien invasion.
Amazing how just a couple of additions ruin a game.
Me in my Pbv 301 trying to face down a T64A
Or wiesel 1a4 vs T80U
Or ozelot vs Eurofighter Typhoon when it comes
Or Strv 103C vs leopard 2a4
Or Strv 103A vs Leopard 1
Do you see the issue yet?
You mean the same BR as the BMP-2, which has a stabilizer, and ATGMS? You’re also ignoring the XM800T which is also 7.7, but it has a stabilizer instead.
The lav ads ammo was nerfed massively
Xm800 is slower, and has less pen, it also seems to actually die unlike the Fox, which can survive .50 cal, and anything that isn’t HE doesn’t seem to do anything.
Also, the BMP-2 cannot fire that atgm on the move. Also, the BMP-2 has less pen for its 30mm no? It’s only 20 calibers shorter if I remember correctly, which shouldn’t cause that much pen difference.
The bmp is also slower, and far larger, and dies to .50 cals easily.
339 vs 81 is not a slight difference in fire rate
20 calibers on a 30mm is a solid like 2 feet, it’s a pretty sizeable difference considering it’s a 30mm
30mm that 1 taps, or 30mm that take 4-8 rnds to kill?
I meant case length. It’s 160 (Fox) if I remember correctly to 140 (for a btr, bmp, etc)
That’s still quite a bit, compare ballistics of 20x102 to 20x110
For how much pen difference?
Check the Btr pen to the fox pen.
