dont think starfighter should count as its a in game aircraft and with 15 known operators a widely used jet.

here is a oddity. the convair f2y seadart.

basically a 102 delta dart modified withhydro-skis

5 built! unfortunatly 1 was destroyed as a result of a mid air disintegration. which resulted in the death of the pilot. rest were retired.

then there is the p6m seamaster with 16 built

Not the same . If we talk about flight characteristics F-104G-CCV was very different. For the game though, it was unarmed so…

AH u tlaking about the experimental version itself. not the produciton model?

apparently there were plans to have it use 4 colt 20mm guns and rockets.

Yes in the picture he had the experimental…
F-104s in general are multiple versions in the game.
The experimental one can’t be in the game because no armament.
Though it’s a funny design !

sometimes gaijin lets unarmed experimental aircraft into game. usually if it was at least planned to use guns. like xf5u-1 never had them but had the provisions for them.

FMA I.Ae. 37

glider only. but there was a plan to develop it into a jet trainer with 2 or 4 guns but cancelled in 1960

note as it planned to feature one jet it had a y-shapped exhaust funnel

a artist rendering of the planned ia-37 jet trainer with 2 guns and a single engine. (jet exhaust funnel is a y-shape design.

Apparently there were plans for a larger twin engined interceptor slated for mach 2.2 top speed but also got cancelled (before any got built). known as the I.Ae 48.

Gajin forgot the first british operational 1st gen fighter aircraft (6.0 ~ 6.7) before Meteor F Mk 3

Gloster Meteor F Mk 1

that looks like a death trap not gonna lie

i mean they where opertational in last few months intercepting V1 buzz bombs

bit off with its operational status. mk 1s started flying in july 1944 doing those v-1 intercepts but were quickly replaced by the mk3 when it entered service in december of 1944 so it only had 5 months of combat!

. so mk 1 only served for 6 months…

This is not true. I recommend to do some research about No 616 squadron and you find out why. The were just a handful of Meteors deployed to the Netherlands and Mk Is were with them. So no replacement.

In addition you find out that there is no evidence that F Mk IIIs (late) ever saw combat or deployment - the early versions with weaker engines were used in sone strafing attacks. The Meteor implemented in wt is the late version.

Therefore asking for the F Mk I is comprehensible - but ofc it needs the BR of the contemporary Me 262 A-1a which is roughly 200 kmp/h faster.

thought it was. going a bit through wiki and ai here. though i still think it should not be in the post as its a operational ww2 jet and quite a famous well known one.

cold war is considered to have started as soon as germany and japan surrendered after all so thats why i think they are considered as ww2 jets. dont know about the trent-meteor iffit should be added though. since its a experimental aircraft fitted with turbo props and flew in september 1945. but unveiled to the public in 1946.

No worries - the history of Meteors is a mix of myth, war propaganda and wishful thinking. I researched via old fashion stuff like books 😂 and was also quite surprised which kind of nonsense you find on wikipedia or youtube.

There is not even a single reliable source stating the actual number of Meteors deployed to the Netherlands (some say 4, others claim a squadron) and the fact the No 616 squadron used Spitfire alongside Meteors makes it even more complicated…

Same with F Mk 22 & 24 spits - you find not a single piece of evidence that they saw deployment to the 2TAF - and if you check the production data (serial numbers) it clear that just the F Mk 21 saw action…

Have a good one!

Gajin can’t think or forget the USAF 1st gen fighter aircraft around 7.3 ~ 7.7 for USA tech tree (between F-80A-5 & F-80C-10)

Lockheed F-80B-1

prob because we got the f-80a and c is why we dont have the b model. do hope one day they add those wingtip fueltanks though :)

a somewhat forgotten piece of Canadian history. the cf-100 canuck. the first and only domestically produced jet fighter.
