im so tired of the missile spam at top tier and knowing what kinds of upgrades are coming down the line for some of these abominations smaller lobby sizes needs to be a guarantee not a chance

To be honest, I know I can make myself not be upteired, because I use the BRs to my advantage.
It’s all to do with the .4 gap compared to the .3s, and the saturation of vehicles at certain BRs to make it so you don’t face anything drastic.
The .7 .0 .3 will end up grouped, but if you venture to the .7, you’re going up.

Where you have that .4 gap between .3 and .7, you know that you’ll face more upteirs if you sit on the .7, instead of the .0 .3.
There’s more plateaus as such for the matchmaker to make combos of BRs. (That’s along the lines of the saturation of nations BRs in various spots)
It doesn’t work like that. Gaijin just rounds to one decimal point for aesthetics. Gap between 1.0 and 1.3 is the exact same as 1.3 and 1.7. One BR step to be exact.

It literally does work like that as it’s why there are sweet spots.

I’ve always pondered if the teams were broken up into 3, and spread out over an extra large map, with 3 objectives for the 3 groups, and have 3 matches going on one map, how that would pan out.
Sounds like a fun event idea but idk if I’d want that in regular rotation
Yea, this sense of ‘want’ could validate the OPs want for a toggle to pick mass pop matches, or more select ones.
