Following the Roadmap: Separate Battle Ratings for Different Modes + More Information

I though the whole point was just to move some aircraft down for ARB I never expected them to change GRB stuff for some reason.

Like why is the S2B going to 10.7 too? What- how why? Why is it not 10.0 in ARB, what crayons are they eating.

Why is the A6 Tram at 10.7 but the AMX with 1:1 the same capabilities at 11.0 on Ground Battle Rating? This doesn’t make sense to me right now.

I get the S2B, 2x 9Ls, A-10 should be 10.3

But its stuff like the Tornado Gr1, Jaguar Gr1A, Buc S2, Buc S1, etc. They are all over BRed for air

What aircraft? Almost all aircraft in War Thunder are balanced for air RB.
Tornado IDS + thermal pod, and apparently A-7s are the primary exceptions.

Type 93 is a car without guns, without armor, without radar that struggles to lock onto anything outside of 3km range if you can even spot it, that had it’s gen 3 thermals nerfed for no obvious reason, missiles now leave a massive smoke trail and the vehicle hp/t got cut in half and it gets dunked on.

The whole benefit of it was being able to get places quickly and close the distance but with the mobility nerf and the map becoming smaller and smaller it can’t do that, it also has the mass of a carton of milk and hitting anything completely destroys momentum.

CAS has been getting plenty of new vehicles over the years, like when the Tram got added, or the AMX got added just a few months ago.

Yeah but its like WAY less maneuverable and has no main gun.

Then why isnt the MFG and WTD61 Tornados at 11.3 in air?

Its tricky, should be lower, but I get why it cant.

Buc S2 though… Little reason for it to be any higher than 8.3 in air really, but 9.0 would be a good start

I would have thought the early part of the game would be the ideal place to start with separate BR as that where most of posts calling for BR hikes are centred.Particularly regarding a certain UK premium at 4.3 BR

Bucc S2 is correctly BR’d for air, same with S2B and Jag GR1A. Jag GR1A gets the same A2A weapons as Harrier GR3 but on a significantly better airframe.

@Miragen
Type 93, a vehicle I personally use to get Su-25 frags with, has gen 2 or higher thermals and the best F&F missiles for its BR.

CAS below 11.3 is the weakest and easiest to kill with SPAA which is why I prefer playing 10.X when doing SPAA tasks over lower BRs or top.

I think top tier is simpler. At lower BRs, many “CAS” are fighter bombers, and many fighters can be affective with gun strafing. The only exception is the heavy bombers. But they need to totally overhaul how they BR heavy bombers in air first.

Wyvern just needs to loose air spawn, its fine otherwise at 4.3

Fair point ,well made

I’m sorry but the Jaguar GR1a and Bucc S2B should not be moved up, It ruins the Britain 10.3 lineup and neither is potent enough to survive top-tier spaa’s. Absolute joke

No Guns, No AAMs, No CMs, 1.8 base kill potential, notably weaker engines than the Buc S2 barely can reach 450kts. Yeah definetly 8.7 material.

Jaguar is faster in a straight line, Gr3 is better in a turn fight. Jaguar should be 10.0 in air.

1- 11.7 uptiers are the rarest in the game.
2- It’s at most 4 people, which means at most 1 top SPAA.
That’s math that makes it inconsequential.

@Morvran
Bucc S2 is fast, has a ton of large caliber countermeasures with 2 bases of bombs, 3 bases of bombs without countermeasures.
Bucc S2 is the best 9.3 bomber in the game 2nd to none.
Bucc S1 is already 8.7.

Just takes 1 pantsir and they are DOA

Once upon a time it did.

This is not gen 2… using thermals makes things worse.

Oh, so it was changed. Thank you for the update.
I must’ve not activated it the last few times I used it then, fair enough.

Also why is the Harrier gr7 not having its air rb br reduced, that thing is clubbed at top tier

4x AIM-9Ms, it’s easy to do well with.
