Is this the same “british engineering” that put almost every critical system in the Spitfire hooked up to the same air pressure circuit, so a big enough leak anywhere means you lose your radiator flaps, landing gear, flaps, guns, and 2nd supercharger stage?
That’s how we learn to make failsafes and backups for next time, if we get the plane back to figure out that that happened.
Even without field testing it just sounds like (and was) a terrible idea.
Another example of stuff that should stay out of Arcade but that due to RB they end ruining it in AB too.
I’ve made a bug report(actually 2) about not being able to use flaps on the Bearcat above a certain speed a few years ago, since it completely ruined the plane in AB.
Like I said then, these kind of mechanics if they are to be implemented they should be implemented for all planes since all planes have limits for using the flaps, and some like the Bearcat had also a mechanism to protect them, but when you only apply this to some of the planes you simply give a huge advantage to the other planes that didn’t had those and that can still use their flaps in dogfighting.
