Flakpanzer 341

Thing is OP, but you still have to contend with being on German teams.

One way to make sure your German team gets over the line:

why buff a vehicle that never existed

not even the worst I’ve seen

The guns existed.

Since the Ostwind II is equally if not more fake than the Coelian, I would love to see both versions of it be given this same cannon, just to watch the world burn.

Ostwind II was built and the Czechs found some left behind.

Ostwind II used Flak 44.

On a side note, I genuinely don’t care about the FP341 being this overpowered. Needs to go down a peg sure, but being able to obliterate all the bullshit cold war HEATFS slinging light tanks and self propelled modern-day artillery vehicles ruining prime heavy-tier is is amazing. Just artificially nerf the pen to like 60mm and call it a day.

They’re getting a taste of their own medicine and it’s great.

I would rather see it go up significantly in BR than lose even 1mm of penetration.

I would rather see them actually fix whatever’s wrong with the penetration mechanics so autocannons can’t penetrate obviously impossible places.

Good luck making gayjoob fix the volumetric clusterfuck they made

Front penned a T34 from a 1s burst today lmao

83mm pen btw )))

zsu 57 has been doing it to us for years, time for fucking russians to get a taste of it

Not to this extent, and I haven’t seen many BS pens from the zsu-57s before too. And Russia isn’t the only one that has it, and they certainly aren’t the only ones suffering from the 341.

ZSU has higher caliber, more pen, more mobile. Only disadvantage is .50cal’able turret. It has its fair share of BS pens but half the time it doesn’t need to BS pen, it straight up regular pens.

How about they balance SPAA by only allowing HE and default belts (with low AP ratio) for first spawn and only allow full AP belts later in the game with added SP cost?

Then SPAAs wouldn’t run around in tank destroyer mode, ending games after 5 minutes.

Cause then they say nobody will spawn SPAA, causing CAS to be stronger, causing crying. Plus it would be too much work for Gaijin to implement a timer system for AP belts.

AP/APHE belts are also better against certain planes due to armour or simple buggy nature of HE shells vs aircraft.

Oh believe me, I agree wholly here. Obvious bugs need addressing, but the bugs’ existence shouldn’t prevent AAs from having their best rounds or force those AAs to suffer puny shell count limits.

They could just add increasing SP costs for bringing AP ammo and/or also base it off how much of it you bring.

If you want to shoot tanks, then you should have the same SP as a light/medium/SPG.

They did it to themselves by not updating every tank’s armor model wholly to volumetric when they added the system. Many of the bugs stem from new shells not interacting right with the old armor models seen on a lot of machines even today.

There is no problem with SPAAGs being Ersatz TDs - if anything they help more than they harm. All the autocannon light tanks have a new thing to fear because of it. That being said, I would be in favor of increasing general SPAAG spawn cost to the same level the ZSU-57 is at.

But, when doing so:

  • un-nerf all remaining forced mixed belts on SPAAGs and some light tanks bearing the same guns
  • remove insultingly tiny 12 or 40-round limits on higher tier SPAAGs’ APFSDS or APDS rounds

Also it was apparently favored to use APDS rounds for AA duty due to higher velocity making less lead be required, both on rounds we have (35mm KDA) and ones we lack currently (APDS on the 20mm Vulcan).
